Was hoping a Céline version of that. Céline did sing a bit towards the end of documentary thought it would be recorded somewhere

The soundtrack is so perfect for the movie. It makes me lonesome to listen to it though. Music is such a powerful thing.

PQTME was not used, but they showed a fragment of recorording "If that wahat it takes", English version of PQTME. J'irai où tu iras was also not used.

What about "A New Day Has Came"? Did you hear it in the documentary?

 

PQTME was actually used, right after ANDHC and BYLM, at the beginning when her clips were being played on the radio inside the vehicle. It's at 06:59.

Great. I couldn't tell which songs were used there after ANDHC. So it was BYLM and PQTME.

Do you hear J'irai ou tu iras anywhere in the documentary?

By the way in the US itunes store the album is at 16 which is its peak so far. Last friday when it was released it peaked around 24 i think. Avril Lavignes new GH album was around 12 and dropped all the way to 111 lmao. Obviously Celine is in another league from Avril but it shows stability because of the doc. Also the true Canadian queen lol

Actually, I wouldn't even have noticed PQTME if it weren't for the subtitles, which indicated that the song was playing. So I had to rewind it a bit. It was very short just the two lines: Je m'inventerai reine Pour que tu me retiennes, immediately interspersed with the "Oh yeah" belt from The Reason.

 

About, J'irao ou ti iras, I'm afraid I also did not hear any trace of it. I will have to rewatch it and try to spot it haha...

2. I was comparing two albums released on the same day to show how stable Celines album is doing. By default they pitted themselves against each other.

Considering that Céline's new co-manager, Joyce, is very close to Universal Music, is there a possibility for her to consider switching label? This would explain why this soundtrack seems so rushed.

 

I hope she leaves Sony but I don’t see it happening.

This song is very popular. I remember watching some French adult tv series with my husband, and at one point they had to sing, and one female contestant was singing J'irai ou tu iras giggle.gif

I wonder if the soundtrack will debut in the top 200 billboard albums chart ? I’d be surprised - but it would be nice. Releasing the vinyl at the same time would have helped. There’s gotta be a reason it’s coming August 9….

I have to say that while the soundtrack was a bummer at first ( Céline- wise) , it made me discover Redi Hasa.

 

His tracks ont the soundtrack are wonderful and beyond that, his discography is full of gems.

 

Obviously, this is not mainstream and everybody's jamhappy.png

I’m almost certain we here the guitar intro while looking back at some archival footage, I can’t remember where as I’ve only watched the full documentary through once but about 90% sure I did hear it somewhere.
