The score is beautiful. Cello is really Celine's instrument (besides her vocal cords of course ) as Irene's said during the NYC premiere.

Such soulful instrument.

It perfectly fits the gravity of the topic of this documentary.

Actually not lyrics just who wrote, produced and such each song and there is one picture in middle of booklet. See Celine in her bathroom in background and in foreground is a picture of Rene in a frame on the wall. Then back of booklet is her thanking everyone.

Would it be difficult to ask Redi Hasa to provide new arrangements for her hits? This would have at least ensured some internal coherence.

I think they did well for what it is. Its a glorified greatest hits album and thet put her biggest hits plus a couple album tracks. Yeah we all have preferences of what should be there but they put the most important songs. Could they have put the IA remix and an unreleased sure but for the songs they picked its fine.

Honestly after watching the movie, it’s not like like I necessarily agree with the song choices, but at the same time it kinda changed my perspective. Expecting new music (even from the vault) would almost be like asking for more apples. This isn’t that kind of concept, it’s basically a take it or leave it kinda deal. You don’t like it - too bad, that’s the reality of things right now

 

Honestly they could have done well without even releasing the soundtrack at all

You can listen to the original "Who I Am" by Wyn Starks, it's on his official YouTube channel. He was a contestant on the America's Got Talent season 17.

PQTME was not used, but they showed a fragment of recorording "If that wahat it takes", English version of PQTME. J'irai où tu iras was also not used.

What about "A New Day Has Came"? Did you hear it in the documentary?

ANDHC is used at the beginning in the scene that I kind of interpret as Celine being in an ambulance after a crisis when the world is swirling and different songs are blending with all the other noises

 

The choice of songs both in the doc and in the soundtrack is rather random

By the way in the US itunes store the album is at 16 which is its peak so far. Last friday when it was released it peaked around 24 i think. Avril Lavignes new GH album was around 12 and dropped all the way to 111 lmao. Obviously Celine is in another league from Avril but it shows stability because of the doc. Also the true Canadian queen lol
