Agreed. I was at her Vegas premiere in 2011… and both my partner and I were blown away by how strong her voice was.

 

It would’ve been amazing if she recorded a new album in early 2011 with those vocals instead of Vegas.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she has been doing a lot more work with a vocal coach(es) in the last year or so. She presumably does physical therapy regularly and working with a vocal coach is likely a necessary extension of that. She has had to teach her body how to handle her condition, and probably has had to “relearn” how to sing with the limitations SPS imposes on her body. We have no idea about the specifics of her particular case, but we know for some it’s a serious respiratory and even speech impediment. She already had to “relearn” how to sing in a manner that doesn’t ruin her vocal chords once, early in her career, and I suspect SPS has forced her to do it again.

I’m so waiting on her return!! And I hope it happens, but I have to admit I always thought if I was Celine I would probably not go back, I get that she still has a passion for being on stage but she really has already done it all in that aspect… she’s stronger than I would imagine id be in that scenario I don’t know oh mentally she’s holding up but I would probably still be in “mourning” of the old me, and though we can’t know based of small snippet videos, the Celine we saw next to Dee at the Katy Perry concert and the small video of her meeting the hockey players seemed to be the same goofy and playful person, I’m glad that hopefully this condition didn’t change her zest for life even though I’m sure she has her days.

I’d argue it was her best year vocally ever. The true pinnacle of her technique, and the long period of rest was evident too. I remember René being particularly impressed, saying on multiple occasions throughout 2011-13 that her voice was better than ever.

To be honest, her voice wasn’t that different on SA and LMBTL. Only slightly diminished and tired, probably due to Vegas, but not really audible.

Which is very exciting. Céline knows the expectations she has set, and she knows that her vocals will be more scrutinized than ever when she returns. I’m sure this time she’s been more focused on being at 100% capacity and more of a perfectionist than ever before.

Well she has always trained her voice, all throughout her career, including the time after René died. I think the only exceptions were 2000-2002 and in 2010 when she was told to stop training because it was affecting her pregnancy.

Céline definitely knows that if she’s seen dancing in public like that people will expect her to be back on stage. It’s definitely part of a bigger plan, no doubt about it!

This phenomenon is recognized by the research and medical communities, but sure, let's go with 'crazy s*** and cake' lol FE doesn't mean absolutely every FC has a rare disease, it just means significant risk than an avg person. What about it contradicts the current diagnosis her case is the rare SPS? It could even explain the bizarre probability. No need to get weird about it.
