With them listing her French music, I was surprised they didnt list Sil Suffisait Daimer. Unless I missed it?

You didn't miss it as it's not on the list. That one is indeed surprising.

Oh, gosh. I am totally out of words. The final scene was horrible to be seen for me. Also, the John Farnham was not thal long as I expected, but totally uncecessary. Also, the final is so Celine, so powerful. Such an amazing film!

I just watched the film and it was AMAZING

the parts where she was showing her warehouse, it was like a nostalgic hit seeing all those dresses from years ago still with her. Proving she does actually buy all her dresses and keep them safe.

her little moments making herself coffee and giving food to her dog and vacuuming when one of her twins dirties the carpet, all of it humanizes her.

the last episode and after that when she sang "Who Am I" I am pretty sure the theatre audience would've been in silence for that whole scene.

what I find weird is that they didn't include all the songs from the docu in the album

Who runs the Celine Access Instagram account? They have posted a minute long clip of Celine having the crisis from the movie: should we be doing this as fan accounts? Posting copyrighted material, owned by Amazon & Co?

Gonna watch tonight.

For those who have seen it - I hear it really shows Celine in a personal way, with her kids and doing stuff around her home. Do they do a good job in showing her success? Is there enough career clips and stats to really drive home her legendary status?

Still trying to comprehend everything.

I'm glad Celine is surrounded by her team which looks very professional and caring for her. And of course, her kids and Linda.

The Love Again recording sessions is hard to watch (and what follows next of course).

Although I love that the film ends on a positive note when Celine sings along to Who Am I.

Overall, I like this film. It's more about "Celine Today", so really "I AM Celine Dion" rather than "I've been Celine Dion" - just a comparison of today to the past, but not like a big autobiography of everything. The only thing I didn't like is that Fahram-or-whatever-his-last-name-spelled segment, but it was shorter than I expected.

For the sake of likes.

Meanwhile it's out for the world to see it.

But I don't think it belongs on social media pages, unless well brought and thought through. But this is clearly for the likes.

In a way yes and no but it really is not meant to be a career retrospective more about what going through with SPS. You see more of how much she loves the stage and how hard losing that is.

Really? I saw it 3 times in cinema and they had subtitles each time.

I just finished watching. I cannot quite collect all my thoughts so I might revisit this later this week.

Things I LOVED

  • All the moments Celine spoke to Irene. All their discussions felt genuine and meaningful.
  • The emphasis put on her Francophone career that is usually overlooked.
  • The recording sessions of 'Love Again' which I think best exemplified her vulnerability.
  • The seizure scene for demonstrating what SPS does to the person.
  • Bear  and how the documentary was dedicated to her memory!

Things I did not like

  • The constant back and forth between the uncertainty of the present and the grandeur of the past. I understand what Irene tried to do, but a couple examples at the beginning and end of the film would have been enough, in my opinion.
  • The tribute to John Farnham. Unnecessary and out of place - does not quite link to any of the themes discussed in the film.
  • James Corden

Overall, I'd give this an 8/10. I think it was excellent - for me, the best documentary of her career.

Re. The John Farnham scenes. What were they watching that for/what was the discussion with Platel about? For future performances? Do you think this was just a random inclusion or a meeting to discuss future things?

I fully expect Help, the ballad version done by JF, to be in her next show (she pretty much said as much in one of the interviews I think).

What a woman! What a documentary! I guess I'll need the rest of the day to calm down again!!!

I never met her in person. Saw her only once live in Vienna. But still her music is part of my life's soundtrack since her win at the Eurovision Song Contest. She was always so close to my heart with her songs and her personal story. And I always loved her dearly! But today, I love her even more!!

And I truly hope all those "fans" who whined around in the past of her lip syncing will really feel ashamed after seeing that documentary! One never knows what a singer is going through - but now it was shown!

God bless you, Céline. I only wish her that she can find a way to deal with this merciless illness, that she can enjoy life. She gave so incredibly much throughout her whole career. And there is no need to grow more apples! Like it was said before: I love her too for the tree she is, a role model for all who are struggling with health issues.

And those who haven't watched it yet: You'll need a lot of tissues. I soak a pile with mine ...

I believe this is when recording the message for Franham's documentary. She might even was watching parts of it maybe.

I think this meeting was primarily to record some messages: As for Farnham, then for the mother of Paul Farberman and for David Foster.

I don't understand comparing this to other movies/shows we have gotten about Celine. This is on such a different level that it is comparing apples to oranges. I personally love all the movies/retrospectives and such we have been given.

I commend this film for showing us what she has endured and how strong and brave she is but so hard to watch her struggle. So much respect and admiration.

This great song of Wyn Starks, which say so much about her and is played by her therapist after this horrible crisis she had to go through:

I've been closing the door

All my life, held it in but not anymore

Got two feet on the floor

This is it, I'm stronger than ever before

Pardon my imposition

But this is my conviction

I need to get this off my mind

I gotta be me, gotta be I

Gotta be who I know I am inside

Can finally breathe, taking it in

Look at me flying!

It's always been there, it just took me a minute to find it

If I were to be anybody else, I'd just be hiding

Who I am

Who I am

Lookin' back, back on a little boy

Never gave him a chance to ever be more

I didn't love him but I'm gonna love him right now and forever

It's time to push open the door

Pardon my imposition

But this is my conviction

Ain't nothing left to hold me down, no

I gotta be me, gotta be I

Gotta be who I know I am inside

Can finally breathe, taking it in

Look at me flying!

It's always been there, it just took me a minute to find it

If I were to be anybody else, I'd just be hiding

Who I am

Who I am

It's always been there, it just took me a minute to find it

Who I am

Gotta be me, gotta be I

Gotta be who I know I am inside

Can finally breathe, taking it in

Look at me flying!

It's always been there, it just took me a minute to find it

If I were to be anybody else, I'd just be hiding

Who I am

Who I am

It's always been there, it just took me a minute to find it

Who I am, yeah
