I can’t keep up with the rumours. One minute she’s at deaths door, next she’s having a comeback last month and recording an album lol

French album Sep-Oct 2023 would be perfect timing, she could promote when she is in Paris for the Courage tour.

But as I posited earlier, if she does resume touring in these next few months, the French shows coming up would be an excellent time to release a new album. It's been 6 years since EUS, after all. So the real news / surprise to me would be really if they only started looking for songs now (as we know from past experience, they often do that years before release). I would expect any album to already be further along.

 

Sony is releasing its Q2'FY22 earnings on Nov 1, and they usually release a list of major releases upcoming in the next few months in the filings, so if anything is coming up in the near-term, and if they still consider Celine one of those major projects, then perhaps we'll know something then. (And we should also know if the IACBTM movie is still on for 2/10 release, since they listed that as a major upcoming release in their last filing.)

I just hope she will record the album asap, as her vocals have rested now! Of course she'd need vocal exercises to get it back in shape, but imagine if she sounds crystal clear again, like when ANDHC came out They shouldn't wait with recording till after the tour!

Well, no new album (in the next 6 months at least), but IACBTMN still due out 2/10/23.

I know this could just be a lot of random talk… but this guy claims to want to work with Celine on her new album. I’m not sure how true this is but the article does reference “her return with a new French album”… I mean it could be grasping at straws but with her touring Europe next year with a 3 year old album, she needs to release something else and a French album would be perfect if she can get back out on the road.

At least that was one song from Courage performed on TV! The biggest dud was being a guest on Watch What Happens Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and not sing a damn song of the album!

Yea exactly, we all know that a "surprise album" WOULD NOT work with many of Celines fan who are older & are not 100% "digitalized" with their music & entertainment collections just yet... & as far as that Beyonces album goes that one year, NO it was NOT a fully "surprise album" as the media tried to lead people to believe, as I can recall reading online about Beyonce releasing new music months before that album came out! (I remember it was around the same time in 2013 when Celine released the "Loved Me Back To Life" album too!) & no I am NOT a huge Beyonce fan, I like a few songs of her during the 2000s & some songs from when she was with Destinys Child back in the day, but thats about it lol...

 

& come on, she has had to postpone & cancel concert dates how many times in the past 2 & a half, almost 3 years, & some of you all think she has been SECRETELY RECORDING NEW MUSIC?! If you all truly believe that, I have a purple polka-dotted bridge to sell you all lol!

 

Lets face it guys, like the discussion I had responded to that is going on in the "New Las Vegas Residency" thread, there could be a possibility that something is wrong with Celines voice, her "spasms" could be within her throat/voice box, & yes I have researched online about this topic, muscle spasms can happen in the throat & around the larynx (where the voice box is location) as well... So ecen though this is all speculation of course, it could be a possibility, as others on this forum had put it quite well, could totally explain the silence from her team all these months on how Celine is doing, why we have heard barely anything from her in over 2 years outside of announcements of show cancellations/postponements... It might be possible that Celine might not be able to sing right now, & her team just are not ready to tell the media just yet & are hopefully trying to find medical solutions to help Celine be able to sing again... So I just dont see a new album on the horizon anytime soon, especially since it seems that she is still not doing well, judging by the never-ending silence from her team...

If it said ‘a new album’ or ‘one new album’ I’d think there’s a chance it’s new material but given it’s two, I’m inclined to think it’s two rereleases.

 

Would they release a new album and an issue a rerelease around the same time?

 

Or I could be wrong and it’s a whopper new album to coincide with a new show. Who knows!
