Javito Posted August 16, 2019 at 07:40 PM Posted August 16, 2019 at 07:40 PM Another good song that came to mind today was "If Walls Could Talk". The lyrics are decent, the melody is tame, and the sound just oozes sensuality and mood. It's never been on my list of setlist must-haves, but I think it would suit her current vocal condition, while satisfying the die-hard fans' thirst for different content. Throw that in the setlist with "Reveal", and I'd be pleased!! Obviously, it's all a pipe dream, but I can't wait to see the new setlist! I can only thank God and René everyday for his magnificent idea of doing a full videoclip for each and almost one of the new 7 tracks in the ATW album. That videoclip for If Walls Could Talk is a visual orgasm. One of her best videos after IACBTMN. Period. 4 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
sarit_celine Posted August 16, 2019 at 10:08 PM Posted August 16, 2019 at 10:08 PM What about "Thankful"? I consider that "otherworldly". It's a good song but something doesn't work for me with this one, something lacks. ordinary fan Posted August 17, 2019 at 05:44 PM Posted August 17, 2019 at 05:44 PM (edited) Do you really consider TC bad production? I always thought the album was one of her best in terms of music production. Surprise, Surprise, TC, This Time, EOM, FA... all these tracks were excellent! The only song that was badly produced is probably IGNL, but I still listened to that song numerous times. And overall the album had a good music video, huge promotion, cool photoshoot (maybe the photo they chose for the cover was not the best, but it had many great photos and I loved the style). LMBTL was extremelly lazy in production, I agree.it's so interesting, how the LMBTL album is considered as bad production, bad songs, rushed production...it's one of my most listened and defenitely most favorite Celine albums, although I love every album of Celine But how are songs like LMBTL, thankful, SLS, thank you, SYS; DKL, Incredible etc bad produced or bad songs which don't fit the album. Well it's a personal opinion for everybody and it makes no sense to argue about it. But for me personally the TC or the LMBTL albums aren't more bad or better produced/made than for example the LTAL or FIY albums. They are completely different, songwise, conceptwise etc, but I don't think that the quality of the songs and albums itselfs has decreased since ANDHC, like some here are stating, this is not my opinion, but I respect it. Same goes with SSD vs EUS or D'eux vs SA.The main thing what I want to say is, that in my opinion, not the quality of the production of the songs has changed but the songs and albums in their entirety. The songs from LTAL aren't comparable with the songs from LMBTL because those albums were made in completely different eras and the songs are completely different too. For sure Rene wanted to create the best album possible with every album, from her very first until the very last he was involved with, which was LMBTL and a bit of EUS I think. Javito Posted August 17, 2019 at 07:41 PM Posted August 17, 2019 at 07:41 PM (edited) I don't think comparing LTAL with LMBTL albums is very appropriate I won't enter in details for the obvious reasons, but the concept of LTAL (known as the "duets album"), the big names of people participating in it and the team of songwriters and producers speaks volumes and mean it's pointless to compare these albums. It's like comparing the Titanic (never better said lol) with the little boat of my uncle Pete LMBTL album was jinxed from the start. Even René looked lost when trying to explain the decision to name the album after the song Water And A Flame (look the video at 5:10, when the album was still going to be titled WAAF), saying the silly answer "you know, it's like the opposites" and Céline had to come to his rescue but she made it only worse, simply saying "it's the name of the song" . This just proves how lost they were in the creative process of this album, and the story is repeating again I'm afraid Here at 3:55. Perhaps one of the worst interviews I’ve seen from her & René. I agree with you though: the problem with LMBTL isn’t “bad” or “lazy” production quality (except maybe Overjoyed and At Seventeen), rather a conceptual fugue that prevents cohérence on the whole project. And that’s to be expected, given René’s health (and mental state in that interview). The individual songs are pretty great, but nothing unifies them. 1 Quote

I've always said this album looks more like a collection of independent songs than an "album" per se. Still, there are some heavy fillers here (Save Your Soul... ) and all the Vegas covers were totally unnecessary on an album after 6 years without new music. Quote "Hush, now... Del Posted August 18, 2019 at 11:03 PM Posted August 18, 2019 at 11:03 PM I think BATB has had its run now. Same goes for ABM. Im not saying for ever, but you don't have to perform them each tour. yes BATB is a big song and ABM get a big reaction, but they have lost their spark being performed. She has other great songs that deserve some stage time instead. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met TapatalkAgreed, the both need to go. Especially ABM. Love it. I agree with the fact that the bridge in full sound strange. Maybe it will work better in an acoustic /orchestral version that leads to the climax and the final chorus.
