Well then, obviously, there are only (less than) 3 years since the release of the last Celine's album.

 

Unless, obviously, only English album counts; which for a non-English native would sound odd 😋

 

I understand your point but; You can’t be naive in thinking that Celine’s fan base is one in the same She has her French speaking fans, she has her English speaking fans, and she has the fans that are just fans of anything she does including both main languages and all the other stuff she has tapped into like Spanish and Mandarin.

 

So it’s perfectably logical for some people to say her last album was 2013 and LMBTL, because maybe they are only English fans. And visversa for French fans who may not give a s*** for this upcomingEnglish album that’s next, to them they are still binge listening to EUS, and counting down the days until the next FRENCH album.

Then you need to reflect on your expectations, as they are not realistic.

 

Celine essentially created the template for a long-term residency format in contemporary Vegas - and even from the beginning, she grossed a multiple of every other show that preceded her. She was NEVER going to gross a billion dollars from "just" 1,200 shows - that's a ludicrous expectation to place on her shoulders.

 

To put into context what you're asking of her - her average ticket price would need to have been $227.27 across 15 years. The average ticket price for a top-tier ticket from live performance between the years 2003-2007 was less than half that.

 

In terms of what she herself pocketed (as I can see discussions about her contract in subsequent posts), the "$100 million contract" was the value she was paid to sign on the dotted line, that wasn't her actual earnings. I once read a report that stated her actual earnings (before tax and fees were deducted) across the 4.5 years she performed in Vegas between 2003-2007 were $250 million (or roughly $350,000 per night). That number obviously shot up when she signed and came back for a second time (where for half the shows, she reportedly signed the same value contract, meaning a per night take home of over $500,000).

For me as a fan and for Céline herself as a recording artist, it's obviously true that it's just been 3 years since the last time she released a studio album.

 

For the international market and the general public, it's been 6 years. Lol I still remember her press conference in Vegas in August of 2015, when she said that she'd release a French album in 2016 and an English one in 2017

Another fact is: gone are the days where she maintained both her English and French careers simultaneously. This ended in 2007.

Each album, no matter what language, is an album and she now takes the time to release each. It has been a whole new chapter in her life and career for quite some years now, but some just refuse to accept this.

I still believe that to be tour related rather than music but all the promo, along with the registration of “Baby” has got me thinking maybe we will get the sneak peek in LA, we’ll get a performance on Kimmel along with the single dropping and then GMA.... maybe with a May release for the album, more likely Summer

No. Only time that he has one guest usually is if he has someone like a sitting President on his show. I believe like twice for Barack Obama. Usually he has 3 guests, sometimes 2 but never just one guest.
