I really enjoy this performance. The second chorus with the backing vocals is an improvement from the studio version and the arrangement is richer than the las vegas one. There are definitely more instruments such as an electric guitar that you don't hear elsewhere. Her voice is changed and that's a pity but it's surely not unpleasant this time. Celine always had the appearance of being older than she seems to have, but in a few years, I do not know if it was the makeup, she appeared beautiful and younger, and the truth that after Rene left, she has this appearance of more old lady, not that this is wrong, but she is still a young woman, my mother is 60 years old, she has never done any procedure and is younger.

I just think she's an artist and when she enjoys the beautiful and younger audience, it's good for her, self esteem, who does not feel that way?

 

I did not like that couple, they were strangers and they did not seem to like Celine's presence.

 

Weight loss ages a person more than anything, that’s the reason the change is so sudden and drastic. I’m just happy that she is still active and still giving us even more reasons to love her

All these mini tours just had 2 week breaks ish before and after for vegas. I know three months may not sound like a lot but for celine i think it will do her good. Perhaps - but not talking with the kids would very quickly be negated by the cabaret nights out with Pepe all the time. And hey, good for her.

I just think perhaps she's not as concerned with technical perfection anymore. Like she says - she has nothing to prove to the industry.

And I far prefer a voice and artistry of a woman who has lived, than one who's been cloistered and mum.

Really enjoyed this interview and performance! There are SO many wonderful comments about Celine for the videos Jimmy Kimmel posted on YouTube.

 

There's really been a shift with the general public and (most) folks are LOVING her for just being her authentic, cuckoo, over the top self! If only we could ALL be so brave to be our authentic selves.

 

One of my favorite comments: "I don't trust people who don't like Celine. She's unapologetically herself, doesn't mind what people think of her, she's incredibly kind and has one of the best voices of all time on top of that."

 

We are living the Dionaissance y'all!! There's been so much press lately that I'm kind of glad there's a lull now so that I can go and watch all the interviews she's done lately!!!

 

I truly think her tour and new English album are going to be incredibly successful and create a rebirth of interest in Celine here in the United States & all over the world. Just when you're ready to put her in a box, she breaks out of it!

Sorry if you feel offended but the way of ageing is totally related to genetics and, for that, impact people regionally.

 

Black people usually have the skin younger even when old. Latin people, too. So, the more miscellaneous people for a country is, more chances to share that genetic trait they have.

 

So, is not a stupid question. Is anthropology + biology.

So if one Brazilian looks old, do you think all Brazilians do too because it's all genetic? I know plastic surgery is very popular in Brazil but I'm sure some people don't do it and probably look older than their age.

And don't forget making funny faces while singing for 38 years... that doesn't help the wrinkles!

I think that's the first time I enjoyed a live performance of Ashes. Her voice was great (considering her current limitations).

 

But, I got to say... Celine looks too old for her age. Is that a normal thing for french Canadians? Maybe genetics,idk.

 

Glad that she's keeping her look natural, though.

I am really hoping Ashes is going to be on the new album (no other most recent songs) as it really is a great song and it was the first song to boost Celines English career in years. It deserves a place for sure.
