I love this. As they said, David Foster’s personality is awful. Quite possibly one of the biggest egos in the music business, and truthfully I find most of his music is garbage. The way he talks about “discovering” some of the greatest singers in the business makes me think of a pig sniffing out truffles.. okay, so you “found” them, but you didn’t create their talent.

Being in the industry, I understand what he means. There are so many people JUST as talented as Celine or Whitney or Barbara. Super ridiculous stupid talented people who no one ever hears about. That’s because they don’t get discovered by an agent or a manager or a producer who grooms them for stardom. The number of actors, singers, writers, songwriters, painters, sculptors, etc. who are more talented that, say Britney Spears or Justin Bieber, exist by the thousands. But no one knows of them because a David Foster didn’t discover their talent.

That feeling definitely doesn’t go away when you watch that doc If you’ve seen this clip, that’s all you need to see - trust me. Even in his “humble” moments, I just feel pity for the man for being such a narcissist.

He seemed more relaxed in the 80s and 90s, but yeah I agree. But when you win that many awards, I can see how it can bring out the narcissist
