I do wish she'd do a follow-up. That was certainly one of the better interviews and the most thoughtful and impartial books about Celine, and probably the most read one amongst non-fans, with Denise being such an influential and respected journalist.

Great interview. Insightful, and she took her time answering the questions. A lot of what she says still holds true too.

 

It would be wonderful to get another interview like this again, but in English. Thankfully a video with Spanish subtitles was on YouTube, otherwise I would have missed out on this. Although, this is a great way to learn and relearn much of the French I've forgotten lol

That's probably because she knew Denise Bombardier is no pushover. She normally interviews presidents and prime ministers, not pop stars. She asks substantive questions. Celine knew it would require a different approach than the usual fluff entertainment press she talks to.

When the lady asks about her words not being her own she says that her speeches used to be written (still were at that time? Not sure) by Rene and that she had to memorize them. I didn't quite understand the reason for this. Was it because she was afraid of saying something wrong or was it because of her English? She said something like she's afraid of what she'll say or something like that.

Yes I believe she was so afraid, intimidated to not make a mistake in English. Sometimes I still feel this way, even now.

Claudette Dion has reported on her mother's health, Thérèse Tanguay Dion, in an interview with Échos Vedettes in the newsstand magazine since Thursday.

Executive Director and spokesperson for the Maman Dion Foundation for 18 months, Claudette Dion has been entrusted with the artistic publication during a day of gathering of 200 volunteers of the organization, on July 13th. Friends, sponsors and members of the Dion family then prepared 2,000 school bags for disadvantaged child...ren.

"Mom is getting older," Claudette Dion told journalist Francis Bolduc. Céline's older sister said that the 92-year-old Dion clan matriarch still lives in her waterfront home in Laval with her eldest daughter, Denise.

According to Claudette, her mother has lost visual acuity, her hearing and energy are not what they were and her memory begins to play tricks on her.

"Fortunately, she still has good memories to tell us," said Claudette.

According to her, Thérèse Tanguay Dion would still enjoy traveling to Florida by car during the winter months and would still be involved in the foundation that bears her name, whenever possible for her.

"What she had to give, she gave it. It's up to us to give it attention and love, "concluded Claudette Dion.

Another missed opportunity today. Many people and companies are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. I can’t, for the life of me, think of ANY song Celine’s team could have used to get in on participating. No songs with “Moon” in the title. **sigh** Ugh.

I just found out right now none of this information is true this account on Facebook is fake and This account is fake. He would never post where Celine lives thats against the law especially for celebs. Above of all these pics seems to be from real estate.

Pay attention with this people pretending to be someone, as there is a Facebook account pretending to be RC and now this to be Pepe its fake hes not staying at Celines house. Besides that’s not even a house for rent she stays at one in Thats not even a house its for sale those are fake photos and plus this is the house shes rented since 2016 https://sothebysrealty.ca/fr/propriete/quebec/monteregie-immobilier/saint-mathieu-de-beloeil/363093/
