Ok, this is driving me crazy! In "If walls could talk" at the 4:54, what does she says???? "If they couls see-------you and me baby" I cab't get what she says in the middle, I get " if they could see you and me while you are in me baby" hahahha but that's sooooooooooo wrong!!

So, I know there has been this long debate about the World Children's Day performance of GTSW. Hopefully, I don't try and talk about it and then everyone goes crazy. I don't doubt the people who say she sang it live, but I was just watching the video again (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvC6_g1xyyE) and in this video she over-exaggerates her "vibrato" with her chin thing. That is something she does ONLY when she is lipping, not ever singing live. So, given her track record of shaking her jaw, it would only make sense she lipped it.

 

But then that brings up another point. Most of the shots during that performance are either audience, orchestra, or Celine shots. We never see her with the audience, ever (until the very end when she is walking off stage, but actually, the chair she was sitting on is gone, so that shot is from another part of the show). So, is it possible that after the event she stayed and sang GTSW one more time, lipping it?

 

I also had the feeling that she performed some songs more than once because there were a number of editing mistakes done on TTWII which showed she sang the same song twice.

 

Soooo, IDK but I'm thinking she sang it live once, when the audience was there, and then after the show lipped it once for the DVD.

There isn't a line in IACBTMN where she sings "If I touch me like this..."

 

The second part of IACBTMN is "It was more than all your laws allow"

 

And yes, she often sings "ond and on..." in MHWGO

When I was a kid I always thought she said "It was more than any lousy love" Hahaha, everyone has their own interpretations!

OMG, I always thought it was "More than any lousy love" too... From the time I was 6 or 7 until I was... Well, until I finally read the lyrics about two years ago. lol!

 

Also.... this part:

I always heard "But then that always seemed to write."

 

And I heard that from the time I was a kid. So I developed this weird idea of a phrase where saying something "writes" means it comes back to tell you that you were wrong. One day, I realized I only ever heard that in IACBTMN and no one else ever used it... and I was like... Wth? So I listened more carefully and realized what it actually said. I know... so weird to think about now!

Oh, que bonita. I wish every fan could still feel/find/hold on to that. I know the feeling. I know people, one on here even, who is losing their love for her as other singers come along who can't do half of what she can do but I'm not out to start that debate of downing other singers to make her look good. I like so many people I don't need to do that, and I don't have to down her to make her look good because she makes herself loved like that. But I know what you mean, after all these years, I have not lost that initial appreciation. It may be a phase for some, but I still "can't fight the feeling."

I found this article that states that the Women's Soccer Team listens to Celine's "The Power of Love" after every game they win. If you watch the video, they also do an impromptu rendition of the song at 3:17. Enjoy!
