Well sorry if i offended anyone, but to me, its not because a person is talented in one thing that makes them a respectable and admirable person to look up to. Hitler was very intelligent and very well spoken, it doesnt mean he was great, neither respectable. Now, don't get me wrong, i'm not comparing hilter with Winehouse, they ARE CLEARLY DIFFERENT persons. this was JUST an example.

Amy winehouse, i admit, had an amazing gift: her voice, which she screwed up by smoking (resulting in emphysema), drinking and by doin drugs etc. I just stayted facts: she was in fact wasted in many concerts and unable to sing (disrespectful to her fans), she was a drunk alcoholic person, she did plead guilty for having punched a fan, and her cause of death sounds pretty much like an overdose to me. But i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and wait until autopsy results...

 

Imo, she didnt deserve those 5 grammys, i don't think we should reward such bad behavior even if the girl has proven that she can sing...really well. I believe she has received the best support and the greatest help and love from her people, but decided not to give a damn about it. Sad.

 

 

Did the Beatles not deserve there success too? They were high for pretty much the whole of their career and yet have been named the greatest band ever!!

 

Sometimes being messed up and on drugs does wonders for creativity and makes music that changes the world!!

Celine was mentioned in Yahoo!. The actual article is about Amy's sales for her last album but there's some Celine stuff in there as far as weeks on Billboaed I believe. :3

René and Céline are on the cover of the magazine 7 jours. It's about the most beautiful love stories in Québec. Even though the picture on the front page is beautiful, inside, there's nothing to get exited about. There's another picture of Céline and René and a small texte, saying their whole love story and then, how people love them because of how they get through life with their strong roots and values. It's really short. Just wanted to let everyone know though.

Picture on cover of 7 jours is from 2009 I think, but thank you for sharing, Céline is also on cover of this week´s France dimanche, it seems it´s about ridiculous pictures "story".

I went back to the store yesterday to see if they had recieved the HC and see what they wrote about her in the France Dimanche. I didn't find either of the two magazines but I looked through the US quickly and they have a little thing about the blog that was shut down. They put six or eight pictures of Céline making faces, probably pictures from the blog, Ridiculous Pictures, and they said that Céline found the blog, didn't like it and wanted it to be shut down. Does anyone know if it's in any other magazines?

As I stated before in the section "The Essential Celine Dion", I am a fan who is never satisfied with the compilation albums of the artists I love. So, I make up my own editions for the already released compilations (that I did to Mariah Carey, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue etc.), or create a compilation for an artist for whom a compilation hasn't been released (that I did to Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson, who hadn't released a comprehensive collection for her period between 1993-2006 until 2009.). I listen to these editions on my iPod and even design my own cover pictures.

 

Of course, I did that to Celine, too. "All the Way..." and "Collector's Series" were not genuine greatest hits albums, so Celine, with a career of music with English lyrics almost 20 years long in 2008, deserved an at least double-disc collection of her songs in English. Therefore, I totally disregard the single-disc edition.

 

However, I have problems with the single-disc, too. Why doesn't its European editions include no songs from "Unison" at all? What does 'Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore' have to do here whereas there are so many omitted English singles? Yes, it was a huge French hit, but this is a collection of songs in English, and just like 'My Heart Will Go On', a much bigger hit, did not appear on "On Ne Change Pas", it really had no reason to appear here. Where are 'If You Asked Me to', 'I Want You to Need Me', 'When I Fall in Love' etc. whereas there are 7 songs from "Falling into You", including non-single ones?

I know, but so are 'Alone', 'Eyes on Me', 'One Heart', 'Have You Ever Been in Love?', 'The Prayer' etc. and these are all included in the real edition. There are even some rarities and non-single tracks as you know. What makes them "big" is, I think, that they are great songs and loved by the fans rather than their chart numbers. And the songs you mentioned are included in my "deluxe" edition anyway, for the loyal only.
