Because they have to throw Whitney a bone. But, we all know, everyone in the world knows who is best, so no need to worry. But it would be fantastic for Celine to also have that title. She'll get it one day :)

Well, I don't think Whitney will be getting many more awards with the way things are going, but Celine still has a chance at some.

According to my manual count of Wikipedia's award lists for both of them, Celine has more than Whitney. However, that list has her nowhere near 1000 awards. I think it's because Whitney's title is according to Guinness which only gives out awards if you register/apply and after they come and verify your claim. Celine either doesn't know of the record, hasn't contacted Guinness, or doesn't want to take the title away from Whitney Houston. Just curious..Celine should get that title ;)

Well I know many people here think that I am crazy, and people will think so when they will read this but:

Why the hell doesn't she leave Sony, is there a reason that I don't know?

Can we do something? I mean I was thinking about the way Beyonce's album for exemple are promoted with a lot of singles, good videos, many re-releases with a lot of bonus tracks...

Celine's album are never promoted like that!

 

Look how many albums she sells without promotion. Thanks to promotion, she can sell more than any other singer, just as she used to! And at least, people will not think that she is dead! Yes, her DVDs are selling well but everybody think she is and no one really knows that she has released DVDs!

 

Moreover as someone said, #1 hit in France, for exemple, doesn't mean nothing as many #1 hits are unknown

so don't expect people here, to tell you about ESNRQ, they will look at you like:? She has a new album? She is not in Vegas anymore?

 

This is very frustrating, I can't help thinking about that, and I can't do like it was absolutely nothing while they are doing such a bad work for the greatest lady on earth! She doesn't deserve it!

Can't we create a petition or something? You may think I'm crazy but it is very frustrating!

 

We all know that now she is not very "into" music, because she discovered something better for her: motherhood! Moreover her husband is not young and she will have 2 new babies soon. So she needs to lean on a team who will do a good work, and which is as talented as her! I hope someone will understand me and answer me. This is getting serious :(

Instead of promoting Taking chances, they released My love: essential collection! Why? What was the aim of that album? Sell more and earn money? They should have released a new version of TC with the same cover the same booklet and bonus tracks as MLEC...but I don't give a [...] about that compilation...

Everybody knows her old hits, it's Time for her team to try to make a new hit and stop always reffering to the past!

That is a difficult one for me. She always sings ''S'il Suffisait D'aimer'' beautifully and with so much feeling. I would have to say that is one of the few old hits she still sings exactly like she did in the 90s (well in my opinion in any case). I like the version she sang on ''Star Academy'' in 2007/2008. Her voice sounds so sweet and refreshing there, but her version on that Sainte-Justine benefit thing was also gorgeous. Even the version on the new tour DVD is pretty awesome.

they once had a program "Diary" was it?

it was also very cool to see, it was during the last months/weeks/days before her 2000 break.

 

you saw her in the car, rehearsing the Millenium show, interviews etc.

It was very cool.

 

Somehow I expected that we got something like that for TTEOTW, Celine talking about her experiences etc. Because we got that for the promovideo after the recordings in Boston

ok i faced this hard decision too about 3 yrs ago..

 

I chose the french album just because it was my first french album ever and it came out before SSDA and I think it was a good decision!!! but both are great so really you can't go wrong either way!!

Well I think I am going to go with The French Album because like you guys said it was before SSDA and there were more up-tempo songs and songs that I was familiar with (PQTME, Destin, etc).. I would have bought On Ne Change Pas but like I said I don't want to use up the rest of my card.. Now if only my mom would give me the gift card so I could order it online so they can ship it to me before I go to L.A next week!!!! :glare: Edited by Raevaz

Has anyone else noticed that the most common colors she seems to wear are black, white, and red? Not just recently, but throughout her career.

That's because, Black, red and White are her fav colours. Celine has said this many times in the past.
