Nobody in the press will echoe *if* she were to perform Ashes in her Vegas show... Press just don’t care anymore about what she does in Vegas (not that I blame them, because I understand them).

But maybe she simply doesn't want to risk it. She's probably being super careful to not catch a cold. With all the people she'd be meeting, with all the a/c...She simply cannot afford to cancel the next leg of Vegas, ESPECIALLY if she does show up at the Billboard Awards.

 

I was in Vegas in April and it's clear that the last couple of months were not good for her reputation. It makes business sense to be extra careful...

I don’t bear any grudge if she doesn’t perform this song on Billboards 2018 honestly. She needs to perform her own comeback single everywhere with a much better (and hopefully dance/uptempo song) and that’s only going to happen NEXT year But there’s no way she performs and presents on Billboard for 5 consecutive years guys. We all want Celine to be everywhere but we have to be honest with the material she has and the perfect timing.

 

But for that, she needs to release something BIG, and Ashes is not big enough, let’s be honest. WE want it to be big, but it’s not even the kind of a comeback single after 5 years without new material and let alone has slim chances to be a potential song to be played on radios. It’s a good song, but there are dozens of songs like that released every week by many singers out there (and better too).

 

It is far better than Recovering though, and I’m happy with that

 

(Also I think Ashes is more suitable for Oscars since it now belongs to a movie soundtrack, Billboards play another game of things I think...)

Keep your hate for her Vegas show out of here Javito... plus your comment is so wrong.

Remember 'How Does A Moment Las Forever'? Or various speeches (like after the shooting)? Or her first show after René's passing? Or... Barbra? Or 'Hello'? Or BYLM/RDMH (NYE '17)? Suffice to say, her Vegas show still get noticed, as much as you don't want to. So don't mirror your disinterest to others please.

 

Anyway, a BBMA's performance can still happen as everything indicates that she will resume her record-breaking residency on Tuesday.

But you answered yourself, most of the examples you mentioned were focused either on her speeches or due to tragic events, not on the songs per se It’s not the hate, it’s just that no one is interested on what she sings there but the context/story behind, which is pretty different.

 

HDAMLF was on the news because of the movie and the premiere, not because she sang it in Vegas (several months after its release by the way).

 

Recovering was covered on the news because of P!nk and her recent loss with René, and then because it was performed on Ellen and the Stand Up To Cancer gala, not because she performed it later on her Vegas shows lol

 

The Barbra incident? Are you joking LOL, that’s not even connected with any music news, not even with Vegas (it could have happened anywhere even on tour)

 

And to be honest, it will be quite sad if all what’s making the news about her Vegas shows is when unfortunate incidents like this happen and NOT when she sings new songs (which rarely happens too), that’s what I’m talking about.

 

So, unless she premieres her brand new single live like she did with LMBTL (and that didn’t happen in Vegas, but on a massive live outdoors show in Quebec ), the press just doesn’t care what she’s singing in Vegas. That’s not news anymore, that’s the way it is.

It wouldn't be ideal, but she could always go into the venue before tons of people show up, lip the song, and then Billboard could air the pre-recorded performance. Under normal circumstances, I would never condone this method, but considering she just had surgery, it would be the best option, in my opinion. By doing it that way, she, the song, and "Deadpool 2" would all get exposure in some fashion.
