Still really makes me wonder about her current health status without any announcements yet of her performing at the BBMA. She’s supposed to be back on stage exactly two weeks from today. I’m guessing if any cancellations are coming they will be announced next week. Crossing my fingers and saying prayers we get some good news. I hate being such a worrier.

Billboard announces performers in a count down way...a performer or two a day to build hype. It’s not concerning that she’s not been announced yet. But, I wouldn’t hold out much hope so as not to be disappointed.

Yeah, if Sony does the right things...

 

The album will be amazing anyway. But I'm afraid Sony will fk things up.

@Critiaslux - She can perform the song but I mean having Céline and Deadpool on one stage would be better at the Oscar.

But at this point, anywhere and anytime would be fine as nothing seems planned so far... ^_^

If she performs i really hope the vocals are live. This day and age performers (believe it or not) do not make the habit of playbacking so regularly. Beyonce, mariah, britney, selena gomez... they're all similar and or worse (mostly worse) on the playback. But i can almost be sure that anyone else performing will sing live. I know every awards show it seems as if many on here hate the newer sound in more relevant music but many of these people are talented and they do sing live. Maybe its because many also are writing their own songs so they feel that passion more to always sing.

 

I just hate to think that after hymn a l'amour that she has maybe since lost the confidence to deliver live in a big setting. Both the last 2 years at the billboards to lip songs she otherwise sang live...the dubbing of mhwgo 2016 montreal performance for the one note while dodging the other...

 

Yes she kicked #ss on the tour, singing live a greater percentage than she has since 1992. But that's not the point. I want celine in the spotlight. And when she is, i want her shining as capable on the bbma's stage as she did in london for me on tour. I dont want another 2007 world music awards embarrassment.

 

And omg, after 19 years can we ever expect another live performance of iacbtmn? Thats just one song for example...and in all honesty not counting the short oprah 1997 performance its been 26 years for wdmhbn. Yes many do lip i get that. But some of this is simply not normal behavior for any artist let alone a vocalist of celine calliber. She needs to change up the lipping. Give us a little more excitement (and herself) in some of these songs that have become so monotonous. She succeeded in doing this last summer with mhwgo, the reason, misled, treat her like a lady, and taking chances. That is a great start!

I actually think she could pull off Ashes live easily.... it’s not that demanding really.... it just sounds magnificent!

She just has to show up with Deadpool on stage. That's it. Whether she's singing live or not is irrelevant really. Haha.

She just needs to ride this current publicity wave and milk the sh*t out of it.

This is as huge as it’s been for her since MHWGO everyone I know who ain’t Celine fans are talking about the song and the video..... & she & her team really need to jump at this chance and promote the heck out of it before it fizzles out and is yet another huge marketing mistake.

 

The hard work has been done doing the video and recording the song and fans have done their bit on social media, streaming and buying it, and as people say she just needs to jump in the car for 35 mins, get ready, sing or mime at the BBMA’s, do some press & jump back in the car. Job done & a huge impact done in what in 2/3 hours.

Agree with you!! If she's ready to perform live, then she should totally perform at the BBMAs. If she's not ready to perform live and has to cancel Vegas again, then she sadly shouldn't appear on stage at the BBMAs, even if she will not be singing live.

 

Sadly Team Céline can ruin this momentum in just a blink of the eye and they are quite capable of doing so!!
