Will Céline ever return to Eurovision Song Contest?

Emails can easily be ignored, deleted… but if something is raised and out there for everyone to see time and time again under her social media posts, it can’t go ignored forever, they will have to act at some point.

 

And let’s be clear we are talking about her management not Céline, they are paid to represent her and to deal with things like this… like Rene used to do, extremely well.

They need to step up!

This is what happens when you give the job to a guy who’s main focus to be in charge at AEG Las Vegas. It seems like he was doing Celine a favor… but he seems better than Dave Platel.

Celine in Paris trumps anything Dave Platel did all in one thing… the problem was there was no follow up. That was an opportunity to soar but nothing.

 

I want to be clear not saying he’s good, he isn’t I’m saying bad management isn’t new for Celine.. she hasn’t a good one since the man who married her.

I remember that video of Celine singing "Courage" at her documentary premiere. John was in the background singing along as she was singing...which is a small gesture, but to me it indicated that he knows her music, likes it, and together with the car video I get the sense he's fond of her personally.

 

Someone who is passionate about her will most likely be better for the job than most others. Dave Platel never gave me good vibes.

You are right about the lack of French posts or translation. This is so sad. I dont understand why they stopped that. Not good for her reputation in French countries...

As a French Canadian I’m beyond annoyed that next to no posts have any French translations anymore. It annoys me even more when I think that as I live in an English speaking province that we had to fight to have the right to have our education in French when I was growing up, yet her team can’t put our French posts for an artist who’s mother language is French. I’m not even sure she has a team around her now. Her social medias are runned by an agency in LA I guess. They probably just dig into the archives and make some pointless posts to maintain a kind of engagement. And obviously they don’t speak French. At this point we can only hope that Céline is in a kind of creative process in studio to record some new songs. And then, when everything starts again, maybe She will call her team back around her. I’m just assuming all that. I hope it’s just temporary

Well one good thing about the "team" running her socials now is that they do check things that fans post and tag her in - especially when she's tagged in Instagram stories.

 

So if fans do post stuff, I think the current person behind her account will definitely see it. So Celiniacs have a chance to get a message across, and hopefully they pass it up the command chain.

Wasn’t there talk a while back of Celine cutting her team down to a skeleton staff because nothing was happening? Explains why the quality of her socials has gone steadily down recently.

 

I’m a big believer in the power of people and there’s no reason why we couldn’t attract someone’s attention but I’m not convinced even they hear it, that they’ll want to do anything about it. Including Celine.

 

Celine as we know is so modest and often plays down her success or legacy in interviews (didn’t she say she never thinks about that) and she fully trusts and believes in the team around her - she may well believe that her team are doing enough given her current circumstances. She might not want more fanfare on her socials etc cause she’s a modest person.

 

I’m as frustrated as the next man with how bad her current team is but if there are no plans for her to return in a more active way, I don’t see a thing changing

Ok the decisions of the Eurovision are getting weirder and weirder. Why the hell was this cut? What is the beef between the Eurovision and Céline('s management)? I still can't believe they didn't say a word about her in the finals!

I heard the same interview as everyone hear when the doc came out and personally never heard anything about her clearly saying she would be back in Vegas.

She said she was working hard and that s what she wanted the most nothing more than that. The I’m working on a show was an image of how much she’s projecting herself into performing again live and the Can I tell them ? During the interview whith Hoda was for the Oplympics.

The more I’m getting old the more I understand the power of c cognitive biase.

 

 

So she is still working on her health and nothing more to declare. From the beginning, it is clear for me that she will never be back with a residency or full show. Degenerative Neurological Disorder with NO cure. The fact that she can handle it maybe a bit better than normal people due to her surrounding and money doesn’t change that.

 

What annoys me is her inability to see herself as an artist other than in Arenas belting out songs.

If she can’t do anymore full live show I’m sure she can still be a singer and an artist maybe even more now than before.

She could reinvent her repertoire with strip down version of her hits, she could just connect with us from home/studio with one song live, she can record some EP.

And in parallel another important thing where she has nothing to do is just rely on catalog, unheard songs, new release of old music under différents format, anecdotes, new old video material…..

she just has to be a bit demanding and build the right team around her for this job. She doesn’t care, she is not interested into that. What can we do ?

 

She has no interest in building her legacy thanks to all the material from the past which would cost nothing nor she can project herself in smaller projects like LP, even connect with the fans with stripped down live version of one song in the confort of her living room on social media etc. It has always been big and that s how her brain works. It s like she can’t do it differently and envision this new chapter as a new opportunity. Even in full health she wasn’t able to do it.

 

So bring on the big chèques or the Olympics that the only way she will get out it seems

She could reinvent her repertoire with strip down version of her hits, she could just connect with us from home/studio with one song live, she can record some EP.

 

I think we would be good for the next year if she for example only did a Tiny Desk concert.

 

It definitely doesn't need to be a full arena show, or a big residency.

Take her rendition of Winter Song, just in the studio as a gift instead of another video message of just a photo.

 

If that will be the social media interaction, they can be silent for the rest of the year.

I just tweeted a post to her team and tagged a few ppl in on it, in the hope that we might get an update on what the plan is if anything a year after her Hoda interview and confirming in NYC that rumours of a Vegas return were correct but now a year later it’s crickets.

 

And as she said herself in the Hoda interview, the fans deserve to know what’s going on.
