In my opinion contestants should sing in their native language.

Back in the day it was more common, and for me it made it more fun. So many different sounds, music styles. You got a little insight in the music culture of a country.

And yes a real orchestra. So different.

 

It used to be a rule that entrants had to sing in one of the official languages of their country, but they got rid of that rule around the same time they got rid of the orchestra. English then dominated for many years (at its worst, there was one year where all but three entries were in English), but the last few years have seen a resurgence of non-English languages again, which is always welcome.

If she appear and perform PMLALS, it's a perfect calculated moment, and I want to say why.

1) A new (not new) song, it means a comeback.

2) The context: After all the things that she pass in her life, be in the place that was important and relevant for her carrer.

3) The message of "endless love" and, think in René, responsible of her presence in this place, it makes all sense.
