Celine could take advantage of these younger artists who want to work with her.., Why not a full album of collabs with younger artists/bands and expand her base! :D

I love that idea… She should just commit to doing a full album of duets with mostly younger artists that way for split Fanbase can just opt out of listening to the complete album if they’re not interested. And those of us who are interested including me can enjoy it.

I’d love

Ariana Grande

P!nk

Bruno Mars

Sam Smith

Justin Bieber

Sia

Jennifer Hudson

Rita Ora

The Weeknd

And even some 90s nostalgia with Duets like

Mariah Carey

Shania Twain

Justin Timberlake

Usher

"...Big D on me like Celine"

D-on = Dion

Do you guys get that song and why it's called Celine Dion? I'm not sure I do. lol Can someone explain?

Well, art is in the eyes of the beholder, so it's up to everyone's own interpretation.

But to me it's basically a "Big D*** Energy" song (which you can look up on Urban Dictionary if you're so inclined...) It's what people were writing about Celine re. her fashionista outings, the confidence without attitude she exuded. The "IDGAF what people think, I'm going to do me" vibe.

And if I'm not mistaken, Qveen Herby was with a major label as Kamins, but was unhappy being forced into a box and pretending to be something she wasn't. So one day she said "F it, I don't need this, I'm gonna go indie and do my own thing".

So to me, that's basically what it's about. Not caring what people think and being yourself and going for it with confidence and style.

And by the way, I think I've posted this one before, or another version of it, but here she is playing the MHWGO flute bit :)

If you don't know, Monali Thakur is a very famous Indian singer who has won National Award for her singing. The mention of Celine starts at 2:16.

For those who don't want to open it:

Monali:"So the first song that I ever learnt..an "English" song was, Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion's one..uhm..Tell Him.."

Interviewer: "Ah Tell Him!"

Monali.."Tell Him[singing] that one! Tell him that the sun and moon rise in his eyes..reach out to him, and whisper like that! Laughs.[singing]"

I love how she had a slightly different vocal take on it. That was cool.

“He then intro-ed into “My Heart Will Go On,” the Celine Dion classic from “Titanic.” He stopped after a few lines, but the crowd roared. So Mars moved from the keyboards to center stage and performed the full number, his Hooligans filling in. Mars joked that nobody (including Celine) would hear this version because the phones were disabled.

Mars has sung the song at least once before, the weekend after he originally locked up the phones. But it is the first time it has been performed in the Strip’s COVID reopening. We have tried to glean comment from Dion about this unexpected tribute. We will check back, if she does.”

Bruno Mars or BTS collaboration with Céline would be too good to be true...wonder if they ever wrote a song but Celine just rejected.

Whitney Houston says during her performance of "I didn't know my own strength" at Oprah "Dion said I was not build to break", quite lovely

I really love this version. It’s more emotional than the other live performances of this song.

Edit

so, the writer of this song is Diane Warren..
