(Gets lost in his thoughts.) But you know what's interesting – when I had a love story with Fabian, Celine Dion simply hated her, but Lara wanted to sing like Dion. Not an easy situation. I happened to be between both of them. Eventually both women stopped communicating with me. Celine thought that I wrote the best songs for Fabian, that only with her I shared the musical secrets... Idk, I love some real talk about Céline and behind the scenes...but that quote strikes me as a bitter man who is exaggerating.

 

I mean, how many amazing songs did he write for Lara...not many hits come to mind. Also, Celine is always gracious about her songwriters and rarely seems to reach out to anyone specifically besides JJG and maybe Sia...

 

I remember Céline revealing at Rene’s memorial that he would kick her under the table (😳) if she became too honest at dinner parties, for example, with her (negative) opinions on other stars or people.
