Céline joins Gwen Stefani as her advisor on The Voice (Season 12)

Oh god...

 

The constant signing needs to stop, its definitely a defense mecanism to avoid topics, answers etc...

 

At first it was like: "omg celine is signing acapella!" Now her interviewers, co-hosts and others are calling her crazy in her face.

 

I got to say though the "G-when i need you" was pretty smart and funny... but not constantly...

 

She should come back to a time that she would sing only on command (lol), like when Larry King would ask her to sing something or in a game show with jimmy fallon etc...

 

But aaaaanyways.... glad she will be a mentor

Well of course....

 

But i think she could adjust... she hasn't been always like that. Only the past few years. It comes off as "i'm not prepared or idk what to say, so ill just sing"

I think this is great. She and Gwen are very different musically, but now that I think about it they're similar in age and just might hit it off. Plus we all know how nice Celine is to everyone, she'll find kind things to say to people but also be realistic and honest as she's been in the biz for so darn long. This is gonna be so exciting.

Well, obviously gwen uses botox that's why she still looks young while Celine she stop using it in 2010.

People with this mentality annoy me. Sorry... why does she have to stop exactly? I don't get it.

 

It's not like questions were( or usually) are interesting. Who cares about the Voice and how it feels to team up with Gwen or whatsoever?

 

Céline sings like she breathes, that's natural for her, her musical impros are smart, on spot, and (to me at least) funny. In these shows, people act too serious and think it's or they are important... people should relax, it's just entertainment and Céline doesn't take herself too seriously.

 

But yeah, it's very embarassing for Gwen. The poor girl doesn't have any inch of musicality , otherwise she would have sung back and get crazy with Céline. And I think it shows that she is unconfortable because of this.

She's just a model too scared to move...she might get unbrushed...no wonder why she looks so young next to Céline.

She's gonna be swallowed by Céline together with all the contestants if QueenCéline keeps on doing this.

 

And actually, yes, Céline's answers are so awkward , she'd better sing haha ( "I know her very well, I know her beauty"... ouch! )

Does anyone know when filming of The Voice begins? Also, when are new episodes scheduled to air? I am sooooo excited for this! :w00t: :clap:

 

I showed the new picture of Celine and Gwen to my Mom and she thinks that Celine and Gwen look like they could be sisters. :-D

she will be hyper....we are being notified, I think Celine could have a form of hyperactivity with some musical autism. She is so quick to learn everything musical , The people who are bothered by it are better not listening to the voice, Even me i'll be somewhat embarrasses a little, but Celine can do whatwever she wants. :wub:

Ok just finished watching the video. Yes, the singing is a defense mechanism. She avoids answering questions and talking about things. It`s her way of getting her (new) life back on track again. I believe that in time she will tone down the singing. I much rather have her sing than do drugs, drink, abuse her kids and god knows what else!

However, we do have to admit that the woman is fast and intelligent. I mean ` Gwen I need you ` I am still laughing! I thought she was great, I mean its` The voice` not rocket science! She can play, be funny and sing all she wants,

One of the main reasons that I admire Celine so much is that she has always been very focused. She has always been family oriented and she has always had such stong values. If we consider that her way of going through a new and difficult situation is not by getting into all kinds of garbbage, but its by doing something she has done all her life, and that probably gives her a sense of security- SINGING! If thats what keeps her going so be it!

Agree with everything. Once is fine, but this was too much. You can hear the fakeness/desperation in Gwen's voice when she says that 'it's 24/24 singing' or 'her brain is just music, I don't know what's going on up there' hahahahahaha.

She's the best kind of crazy. Honestly!

And I think that it's the editing that makes you think she kept singing "Gwen I need you.." constantly. I think she only sung it once (maybe a few lines of the song) and then they cut it into pieces and used it several times here and there so it looks like she was singing the same thing all the time.

 

What we have to understand is that singing, to Celine, is like breathing. She's said it in the past....she has a song for everything! And frankly, the way she finds the perfect song for every situation...I call that smart. Her brain is like this huge database of melodies and lyrics and she can pick and choose exactly the right thing for every moment. I wish I could do that. Music makes life 'lighter' if you know what I mean. So good for her!

 

She's been 'under water' for the past 4 years, with Rene being sick and then passing away. Let her be free and enjoy herself. She's having fun. If people (interviewers, the audience, other singers etc) don't like her then so freakin' what? Does she or does she not keep selling out venue after venue? Does she or does she not have the longest-running show in Vegas? Is she or is she not one of the best-selling artists of all time?

 

She deserves to have fun!

This actually seems like a possibility. If the upcoming tour is anything like last year's, she may well be preparing some unexpected songs. WINY is one of my very favorites, and I can see how it sort of fits with Celine's circumstances now -- "when I need you, I just close my eyes and I'm with you" -- that's the sort of sentiment she's been expressing about feeling like Rene is always with her.

I must say I thought she sounded great when she sang Gwen I need you! Reminded me of her voice in the old days for just a moment.
