But it's true, her shows lack "show" factor, they're extremely stiff and static. They'd better change this and include some action in them if they want to have some video footage worth to be released and memorable. It's not the Olympia days anymore, when only her voice was enough to keep everyone glued to their seats without blinking! Her voice is enough for me. I don't go to a Celine Dion concert to get distracted by bright lights and dancers. I just want to hear her sing and listen to her little stories. Her voice is often show stopping by itself. 9 Quote

But we were talking about why we don't get DVD releases of her tours anymore. Maybe one of the reasons behind is that they're not enough impressive visually talking to get a release, compared to what others do. Yes, I know Adele can release a DVD of her singing in a theater with only some lamps hanging behind her and barely moving the whole show, but that was Adele's first live release. Céline, after 30+ years of career and several live releases, she may need something more than that for Sony to consider another live show of her to be released. In 1997, the FIY tour she did PQTM’AE, Le Ballet, J’irai où tu iras...In 1998, the LTAL tour, no French songs...I missed the TC tour. And then in the Live 2017, PQTM’AE... So, that’s, in my opinion, not a D’eux hearing. Quote

At first I thought the opening to the English leg was kinda been there done that, but then I realized, it has actually not been done in a reeeeeeally long time. And the WAY it was done, the way she sang those little run things she does, that;s what made the difference for me. It is soooooooo sad that last year and this year were not released. Last year because it was her first tour without Rene, and this year because, well, because it was amazing. I cannot believe it has been six months already, yikers how time flies. And yes, I also agree that it is one of my bucket-list dreams and never gonna happen goals to hear a show in French. I would love it because I have a feeling the energy is way different and people seem a lot more into it from what I hear. I want to be part of a die-hard, on fire crowd like that. Oh same! I love her French songs more than her English and after seeing her live in Paris this summer, I would choose her French concerts over English concerts. Seeing a French concert was on my bucket list since I saw the VHS (yes VHS) of Live á Paris in 1998 and 19 years later it finally happened. The energy is GREAT! Those were the golden fandays. Oh same! Except Une seule fois... i don't even know why they shot and released it on DVD since we already have a 2008 version and it's even better for me.
