I think performing 4 songs from EUS live will not do the album justice. It has sold 1.1m copies and was well-received by everyone. In my opinion, it deserves much more support.

These 4 songs will probably be Encore un soir, Ordinaire, Les yeux aux ciel and l'Étoile... these are great songs, but maybe she will surprise us again and sing Ma faille or A vous :wub:

SCAR is arguably the second most successful single from the album in France, so I think it deserves a place in the set-list.

 

However, no matter which 4 songs she decides to perform live, 4 means that a good portion of amazing songs will not be performed. I mean, even if she goes for the great songs you suggested I'll be missing a performance of Tu Sauras, Plus Qu'ailleurs and Toutes Ces Choses, for instance. I just love this album and I want her to take it on stage! :D

I'm trying to think about people who don't really follow Céline that much but do like her enough to go see her show.

Probably people around her age who like some of her big songs but don't know the more obscure ones. They pay big money for good seats and then see Céline coming out with short pants and long white sporty socks. Shock!! They had never seen her that way!!!

 

And then she starts to rap on THLAL. Shock 2! :giggle: For us, it's great and we want more, but these casual "fans" are so stunned they don't really know how to react. That could explain some of the cooler audience during the first show. But we fans can't even imagine people not enjoying this "new" Céline. But I have news for you... some people don't get out of their confort zone that easily. That could also be PART of the reason a setlist gets adjusted. Who knows. But I'm sure her team got some feedback and reacted to it...

Let's see what happens in London but keep cool, alright? :-D

 

Suite true. There are 100 or max 150 different persona expressing their views here - the hard-core fans. Hundred of thousands of people are attending her shows.

 

At the end of the day it is all about trying to find the right balance between 2 different public. :-)

 

It is respect. It is respectable.

My heart-attack emails received today, regarding the 1st London show:

 

* 16h ago : reseller said my paper ticket cannot be converted into an eticket, but I need not worry or do anything, my order is successful! (At this point, i am thinking there is a bit of real hope; i did pack a special outfit, but in no faith)

* 14h ago: reseller won't be able to deliver to my hotel adress (hope gone); but wait, I should collect the ticket next to the venue and I will be refunded the delivery! (Looking at my mum in disbelief, with a smug all over my face; look at. Me, getting a front row, just 2 weeks before the show...)

* 13h ago: repeating the venue pick-up instructions, in case i get the Dumb moment ( greatful, still)

* 12h ago: thank you for confirming the pickup, enjoy the show (planning a hair blow out, shallow me)

* 10h ago: the reseller informs of impossibility of delivery; would i like an eticket in A2 area, without knowing which row?!?

 

Have no clue if they will refund my 900+£ ticket yet...

 

I am torn...trying to hide it all, since it's my mum's 1st time in London, plus her birthday trip...I hope the etickets on the 21st are valid (same reseller).

 

I don't think i have the strength to join you guys for the forum live stream party, so please enjoy for the loser in me.

What is your opinion ?

 

The songs in red are what I believe to be the more likely options for the French leg of the tour. Not necessarily in exact order. The currently existing "How Does A Moment Last Forever" is a real 50/50. While in English, it does have French inspiration. Plus, it would be extended promo for the DVD release of "Beauty And The Beast." However, I don't see her performing "Beauty And The Beast" with Barnev in France. So, to sing the one and not the other one would be a bit odd. I just don't know. LOL

 

Other songs which I think are real contenders to be performed, but I'm not totally sold on yet are:

Regarde-moi

Priere painne

Un garcon... (Ziggy)

Ten Days

J'attandais (could replace "The Power of Love" as opener)

Tous les blues sont ecrits pour toi

Je lui dirai

Terre

Is the twickets site only for London area?? Trying to look at other shows later on in the tour and don t think I've ever dealt with a shittier and less user friendly navigation on a website than this.....
