There really aren't that many songs in the show right now...(JEEZ!!) I think Ashes would be great after Purple Rain or MHWGO.

 

As much as I want her to perform Ashes in Vegas... I want her to perform it at the billboards first!

 

How amazing is it going to be to recreate the music video on the exact stage!

I’d love a performance of this at the billboards but it can’t be exactly like the music video... I’d like a big production use full use of the lights, stage, & screen.

Deadpool introduces her. But doesn’t dance. Doing it just like the video would be cliche.

Yeah... but or they surprise us a few days before with an announcement.

 

Or she just returns to her own show, and sing the same old setlist.

 

I see that last one with more chances now.

I think when Vegas does end in 2019, she should wait around 6-9 months and heal, rest and prepare vocally and do a US tour. Honestly, they have been dying for a tour and as the US is the biggest world wide market it would make sense. Ive always thought it a shame she couldnt sing there because of her contract. However id like a South Africa Summer Tour, even if its only 10 dates or something. However a US tour would be great to hype her up as shes not done anything promo wise (as in tours) since 2008 and before that sincs 1999

Why not just a Big World Tour just like the Taking Chances Tour :)

If she were to tour after 2019, I’d rather see her continuing to visit places she’s never been to, or have rarely performed at. Places like: Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Greece, India, Russia, and in the U.S. the states Hawai’i and Alaska.

The only places I can forsee out of that list is Spain, Portugal and Brazil. And Hawaii if she were to tour the US again

Vocally,physically,emotionally and mentally Celine is not cut out to do a massive world tour on that scale again, TC almost killed her. And never will again. The only way she could is do a continent at a time and have like 1/2 between each leg and even then... doubtful

It almost killed her? How? If it’s cancellation due to vocals (it’s very common it happens but she recovered)

 

For me, i think her vocals upgraded in this tour/era. High notes... or mixed high notes.

She talked about it herself. Didn't say it almost killed her but it's very hard. And now she has 3 kid, sure RC is becoming an adult but she will never do a World Tour again. I think René talked about small tours instead.

 

She has also said that for kids the time zones are difficult, it messes up routines.

And remembering how emotional she was at the end of the final show - never seen her like that. She’s usually hyper lol

She's always like that in the final show of the tour/residency.. It's like "i can't believe it's over!" "I did it!"

Her voice took a permanent shot during this tour. From around May 2008 onward she spiralled out. Constant sore throats, vocal issues and illness’. She was stressed and tired and it would have been very hard to do it again and again.

 

Yes she could hit lots of high notes but that was because she was using LOTS of head voice in her mix, her chest voice was severely weakend and she sounded just tired in general. Like the last long note in its a mans world, she sounded very raspy from around September 2008 onward. However she could still hit high notes as she mixed ALOT more head voice in, she certainly didn't upgrade that era

True, but I’ve never actually seen her as emotional as she was in Omaha. She’s said things, but that’s different to actually crying. Like she was then. Second would be at the end of the tour - which one 2017? Think it was.

No I don’t think she’ll ever do a world tour again, not the way she used to do it. It’ll be one or two legs per year.

I would like her not to renew Las Vegas for MANY years and do maybe two mini tours a year instead or 1 long summer tour.

 

But I do think she will come back with a new Las Vegas show in 2020-2022

Yes, but of course anything can change. It sounds like they’re at a point now where they’re pretty certain she will be ready to perform on the 22nd since they’re going to start advertising the final year and announcing more shows soon.

Hmm. I didn’t get a definitive yes, but I’m drawing that conclusion based on what I’ve heard. Would you mind sharing what you’ve heard?

But is there any reason to suspect she wouldn't be back? Of course they don't want to definitively say yes just in case. But is there any reason to believe the surgery was less than successful?

I'm just a little confused because you said you heard something different than what I said, yet you're quoting me in your next post. For all of us planning on attending, it would be nice if you share more specifics of what you've heard, because it's possible that something has changed since Monday. A little clarification would be greatly appreciated! :)

After this type of surgery, I guess it's a day-by-day evaluation... and the big test will probably come when she performs a FULL show.

Céline must be really nervous about it!!!
