I’m beginning to wonder if something is cooking behind the scenes. Because Celine, Elton, Reba, etc. rotate dates like clockwork. I’m wondering if we’re in for more than the usual “Summer Tour 2018” next year. Trying not to get my hopes up but it’s pretty hard not to with the dates Elton has secured.

Maybe she actually stays in Vegas next Summer and launches a brand new show around that time. So many questions to be answered! I'm excited for 2018 - I think there is a lot on the horizon. I'm just no good at playing the waiting game! Vegas, new album, mini tour!? I want to know!!!!!!!!

Exactly, right!?!?!?!?! And the "I was disappointed in security for allowing that to happen, which I know has nothing to do with Celine herself" part. Ummmmmm yeah...pretty sure our girl LOVES it when she finally gets us standing up, singing and dancing! Celine herself allows it just as much as the security and major kudos to them all for allowing us to party with our queen! :clap:

Word is the Wynn has offered Adele a huge amount of money to do a residency there and on her terms. I totally can see Adele doing it because in an interview before she was not opposed to it and she hates life on the road.

 

I feel if this is the case Celine will in no way be able to compete with Adele at the same time.

 

Celine did record breaking numbers with "A New Day..." that will likely never be broken and with "Celine" she's crossed the $200 million mark. I believe that puts her over half a billion dollars in Vegas revenue. She should close at the top. Because she is at the top now. Not wait until someone else comes that is a major threat. Just my two cents.

 

She should conclude Vegas in 2019 and tour North America again; maybe some other countries and then beak for a good 4-5 years

Celine could certainly compete with Adele — considering Celine’s international appeal and a lot of people would still go see both shows. However, Adele would be a very hot ticket for the first couple of years since she’s a lot “newer” to the music scene.

 

Regardless, Celine should do another big tour. And try some new things. And make Vegas less of a priority then she can have a big Vegas comeback a few years down the road.

Just for fun, I've been thinking about some simple changes to Vegas show that Celine's team could easily incorporate:

 

-All new costumes. They can be similar -- elegant / classy -- but there should be new costumes frequently for a show of this scale. There should also be a few surprises like hip and sexy costumes. This is such an easy way to keep all of those instagram / social media posts fresh and fun --- with Celine constantly in new outfits!

 

-A new video intro that is much more professional quality. Something more epic like the Intro to Taking Chances World Tour. A New Day... had such an epic opening as well. So either make a more polished, professional video for "Celine" or ditch it entirely and let the show begin when the lights go out and the curtain opens. That would be much more epic!

 

-The full version of The Power of Love should be performed. It's one of her biggest hits. And it would make for a stunning opener to the show that even the most casual Celine fan and non-fans would recognize and be like "Damn! I'm the presence of an Icon." Then save I Surrender for later -- with smoke and rising platforms!!!

 

-Amp up the acoustic section of the show. She could easily add in more of her hits and other songs from her discography then switch them out as need be. She could do If You Asked Me To, Nothing Broken But My Heart, Seduces Me, Declaration of Love, Somebody Love Somebody, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

 

After My Heart Will Go On, Celine should say her thank you's and then do a simple tune that showcases her iconic tone. With all that she's been through personally and all of the tragedies in the world these days, we could all use some comfort with a song like What A Wonderful World or Over The Rainbow. A song like this is the perfect bookend to send audiences away feeling like they've been in the presence of one of the greatest voices of all time.

 

I remember vividly from the last time I was in Vegas that there was something so utterly perfect about ending the show with Over The Rainbow. All of the stage was blacked out, the spectacle diminished, and it was just Celine Dion and her voice, her one of a kind talent, in a simple spotlight and the audience was mesmerized by THAT voice. That sincere woman who has worked so hard and has such a gift. All she needs, at the end of the day, is a microphone. That's what true talent is.

i just think the sound is more natural, they didn't edit it as much as before. I prefer this, and i was at that show , we heard her voice pretty clearly in the building.

Always wanted the full version of TPOL! Yeah she'd have to do a new "recording", but it would be amazing to have her sing the first few lines acapella in pitch black. Take her time, make her appearance etc before the band etc kick in.

 

Think we all miss her final song, like WAWW/OTR. I loved LOML, if you're a huge fan of Queen you love that song lol. She needs another one! A simplistic, meaningful well known song that shows off the beauty in her voice. The concert shows off her range etc, the end shows the beauty,restraint and emotion.

Yes yes yes to a new opening video- easily done, new brief highlights video of her career ( there are so many clips she can use), then end with a few clips of her last tour. Pretty easy to do.

 

And yes new costumes- the easiest of changes to the show. Think we'd all give a standing ovation for this one! 🤣
