Well the song is doing pretty fine in thw charts and it is already 32 yrs old! I am really happy. Single or not, I am proud of its success.

Does anyone else think that they THV lyric video seems to have similarities to the glimpses we've seen of the EUS video?

Wondering if there is a theme linking them - walking along streets.... Or it could just be me reading too much into it!

I agree! And her voice is maybe a little lower? I often have wondered that if Celine ever re-records THV, given that her voice is different now as time has passed and she is older maybe a newer version could be a slower version?

 

Given the story told in the song I expected there to be a sign that the lady in the video met her loved one - was a bit surprised she was on her own at the end? But then I guess that depends on whether you are looking at the song in its original meaning or current meaning? Oh I don't know lol!

The casual fans who never showed interest in Céline's early career don't know what they are missing. It's a complete little universe to discover.

Even though people would expect that the new album should be promoted with the new songs, I feel so glad that they chosed this 32 year old song that was never a hit actually. It's a very symbolic move. And I always loved the song since I discovered it on the 1997 compilation "C'est pour vivre".

I think about Céline and René in the studio in 1984 recording this song. They weren't able to imagine what journey this song would make after all these years.

 

The lyric video is nice and it shows one of my favorite places in Paris (the fontain in Jardin du Luxembourg). Also I like the idea of showing the real Place d'Italie in Paris.

And above all, if they can do this with a 32 year-old song, it proves they can also retrieve other more "recent" gems like "I Know What Love Is" or "Then You Look At Me" for example.

 

And a tribute album to Eddy Marnay made of her hits or better said, her hits rerecorded with her current voice, is asking to be done now.

That's what I didn't like. She's walking by the Seine and in the Jardin du Luxembourg, ok. But then suddenly, she's at the Place d'Italie. That's not realistic.

I don't like it either. They should have kept her real young voice. If they wanted her mature voice, she should have rerecorded it.

True , but she is not there in the video. It's only in her mind like the place she is heading to . Only she should walk a bit faster to get there on time. Perhaps that's why she stays alone at the end of the video

It's an old song. Aside from putting it on YouTube, they did not mentioned it anywhere. And it's already higher than "Le miracle" (#77), which was a new song promoted as the second single from Sans attendre and performed on various tv shows. When you look at it like this, it's doing quite well
