As much as I wanted she had recorded it with her current voice, leaving as it is is much more symbolic. So...

 

I don't see the purpose of including it in the album though.

I would have put it as b-side of the EUS single.

 

Also I would like to know the reaction of casual buyers when they will hear it.

I mean... I guess not everybody followed René's funerals and all the history behind this song.

They will be like WTF...^^

I agree, BUT it is only included on the deluxe version and maybe the significance of song is explained in the booklet. We'll just have to wait and see before jumping at any conclusions

i think they should have included it as track number 2 of a singlecd for Encore un Soir. On the album it feels outplaced. Even though the meaning behind it is a good one. But it will not fit in the flow of the album. I like the song and it was very beautiful to hear during the funeral but it will sound odd to hear this song on a complete new album.

I would rather have seen a new song in place of this one.

When the other new songs are worth listening I consider buying the deluxe album, I will buy the normal album instead.

Although I am all for making THV available in the US, they probably didn't make it available because the deluxe edition is not readily available in the US. Thus, they didn't want us to think it's part of the album, when you can't even buy it here.

 

*So they should just release the deluxe edition here too instead, lol.*

It will re-enter the chart in France for sure with a new peak. The first time, back in January 2016, the song debuted on the French chart at #156, after Rene's funeral.

 

By the way, did you notice that they did not mention this Trois heures vingt audio on YouTube on her website, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Strange...

I agree but again, Wiki policy. It can not be just any photo. If you own photos of Celine that will meet Wikipedia guidelines, please add them and change them in the articles

I completely understand why it's the old track, but it's very disappointing that since the song became available Apple Music (accidentally) shows where the original track comes from... EUS is now divided in two albums and THV is now taken from the old album Du Soleil au Coeur... not so remastered after all... :/

Am I crazy or what? A minute ago I received a notification on Facebook (on the left bottom corner) that Celine's official FB page posted the audio video of "Trois heures vingt". When I went to see it nothing was there. Everything happened in less than 10 seconds. It was also deleted from the notification list. And this is not the first time it happens. This, too, crossed my mind. I am in total agreement with you about just releasing the deluxe edition to the U.S. Maybe not in physical form, but at least digitally. OR...wait for it...release the song as a digital single worldwide with 100% proceeds from downloads and streams going to a cancer charity.
