Bloody hope celine does this, if only to prove so many of you on here wrong.

This is one of the highest ratings US shows. If they include her new English song too (when there is one) it'll be great promo in the US.

I am all up for being proven wrong in this! :)

I know right. :giggle: Yaaaas! Come thru Celine. Just be a little cold and bitchy and not so accessible, and throw a few insults around. This is when you're at your best in interviews. That's when she comes across as funny without trying . You can do it Celine, I know you can. :clap:

LOL. But what do you mean cold, bitchy, not accessible & insults? I cannot think of one time she has acted like that.

I sometimes wish that one day Celine just freaks out on stage or whatever. Sometimes I think she's wearing a mask to pleas everyone

I agree. I think there is no point in being negative when you are a singer. All she is supposed to talk about is singing, performing, recording music. So she can easily do this the polite way. To be rude or dismissive or use her position to talk about things other than her art would seem out of context. And to be negative about other singers would be unprofessional. I think Celine is genuine... and usually people who feel complete about their lives ooze the same positivity and happiness Celine does! Edited by LukeD

Haven't seen it but I watched two episodes of her new reality show last night with my best friend. Gosh, she is such a diva but not in a good way. I was constantly comparing her and her team to Celine's. Mariah's manager is such an unpolite woman who doesn't really treat her team members really well...

 

In this type of situations you notice how rare Celine's humbleness is in a world like show business.

Well Mariah has some mental issues, and to be honest I started watching Celine's greeting and didn't watch it till the end either.

 

When people say that Celine shouldn't listen to anyone, that she's herself in the recent interviews, that's clearly not the case and everyone can see that. And of course it's because terrible things happened to her recently. In a sense, like Mariah, she's trapped in an image. Celine's is that she's an open book, she's the most positive lady ever. And that's exactly why she's falling apart. She needs time, it's hard for her to show that enormous pain she's enduring right now, and at the same time she has to pretend that everything is okay. She doesn't want to be a downer when she actually feels really down. And everything in her public attitude right now shows it.

So yeah, she needs friends or her staff to tell her to calm down. Her concerts in France are exactly what she wanted, which is to share her feelings directly with thousands of fans and you could see the genuine enjoyment. Singing Recovering too, I guess. But having to make the promo of it, you could feel how uneasy she was.

When did she threaten to stop the interview? It's hard to imagine her doing anything like that.

 

The closest she's come to anything like that (that I'm aware of) -- are a couple of times when she refused to answer questions about who designed her dress at awards shows (where she looked adorably proud of herself for saying "Next question, please") and when she very politely asked Larry King if it was ok if she didn't share her opinion about whether Quebec should separate.

I also seem.to remember an interview on a Swiss channel where she seemed pretty annoyed at the interviewer. She was using her famous "answer by not answering" techique and he kept trying to bring her back to the question, which ticked her off :P

 

But actually threatening to stop the interview?

I can't imagine her doing that?

I could not believe the news. I was not a big fan but know many of his hits and liked many. He was definately one of the great pop musicians the world has known.

 

Did Celine ever meet him.or sing with him?

I did find it again, but don't expect anything 'diva', she's civil throughout.

 

She's not really avoiding questions (must've mixed it up with something else, I'm sorry), but compared to the way she usually is, it's pretty clear that she's annoyed from around the ten minute mark.

She keeps calling him 'Monsieur' and acts generally more contrary than usual.

His questions are a bit silly, but I think she probably was tired and less patient as a result...

 

Rewatching that, I can't believe that's the most annoyed I've ever seen her. The woman really is a Saint! :)
