I’ve noticed some carpool kareokes catch fire and others don’t. Why do we think that is?

 

For me, it’s all dependent on how into the artist is or not.

Indeed. She does look much better with the long coat. I thought she would want to look her best for such a big show. I swear at times I think she has no idea what looks good on her. Strange. That's why she has a team... but it doesn't seem to help! Imagine a sexy long hair Celine in the car with nice makeup. You can bet what the comments will be like. Her hair gets frizzy when it's humid/wet, so maybe that's why she chose to wear it in a bun? I don't understand what the problem is anyway. She looks great as far as I can tell.

Sometimes when I see current pictures of Celine I worry that she's lost her mind. She looks crazy. And she looks like she's going bald.

Ad nauseam, but I agree. Horrible choice of makeup, clothes and hair. It’s Carpool Karaoke so something simple would’ve sufficed.

 

But I’m so glad she’s finally doing Carpool Karaoke. She’ll kill it.

In my opinion high fashion was and is a part of Celine. Especially today it has helped her get through Rene's passing, it makes her happy and it makes her feel good. It's something that is now a huge part of her life. It's not going away and I believe she will never go back to blazer Celine. She said it best when she said ' I dont want to talk about it, if you dont like don't take a picture, if you like I'll be there. '. Of course many people don't agree with her clothes and make up choices, but frankly she doesn't care, and I totally support her.

She is now an almost 51 year old woman, she has done everything possible in relation to her career, She is a respected artist and an icon. She now does what she wants, when she wants. May I say that she totally deserves that.

As a fan I am so proud that she is still dedicated to her craft. She could have stopped and retired so many times. She chose to continue in spite of everything. Now she is about to embark on a new journey. Her first english album on her own.. Can you imagine what is going through her mind now? This is the first time that it is totally her call. I wish her the very best of luck , I will support her, and I am sure that there is one very very proud man looking down on her. I am sure she will nail it!

I wholeheartedly agree.

 

For me, when I read so many comments about her look / outfits — it just makes me wonder “Yes, y’all are entitled to your opinion. But do you really get it?? Do y’all understand the BIG picture here when it comes to Celine & her life and career?” So it can be pretty infuriating when she makes these strong, bold, powerful moves and we, her biggest fans, put her down over the smallest / silliest things like her hair in a bun! Who gives a rat’s poot if her hair is in a bun?!!

 

For me, we should all have her back no matter what. Why? Because she’s as good & kind & talented & dependable as it gets when it comes to an international living legend. She’s been a huge part of our lives. And we should all feel super inspired by her to be so strong and comfortable in her skin after so many years as an Icon and all her recent tragedy.

 

So cool it with being so darn nitpicky all the time & look at the BIG picture please.

I agree tho, I think that Celine is a much more crazy dresser. I honestly think that rene had a lot of say in how she dressed, we even saw that before, a few years ago when she came out for a interview in a yellow dress, and he didn’t like it and she went back and changed to a blue one instead.

I feel like I’m becoming some kind of grumpy old man on this forum but really- why should we be worried about the comments or what people will say? She is going to be wacky, wild, will no doubt be singing her #ss off and sound amazing- this show was built for her.

 

We should be celebrating this, not dreading it because of what small-minded people say about her blue eye-shadow! 🤯

 

I just can’t get over the way people on this forum now think about Céline. Like she has to project the image they see for her and only that image. Gone is the sweet, saccharine Céline of 94. She calls the shots and in my mind, as long as she keeps singing, I’m there for whatever eyeshadow or hideous suit she wears. Because she’s my favourite singer on earth and I love her.

 

If she was supporting Nazis or saying ridiculously controversial things, this would bother me and I would be annoyed that she was undoing all she’d built- but really- I say it again- to get ‘prepared for negative comments’ instead of looking forward to Céline doing what she has always done, being her crazy self on a programme we’ve been wishing she’d do for years... poor Céline.
