I don't follow golf, but seeing as it's a major story today (and top-trending worldwide at the moment), pretty cool to note that Gary Woodland just became US Open champion.

That's Gary Woodland who teamed up with RC for that charity tournament a while back. How cool is that??

P.S. I wonder how much RC still plays. I remember an interview where Celine mentioned that he stopped after Rene died, because it's something he did with dad, and didn't feel right about playing without him. But she encouraged him to keep playing, and it seems he has - I wonder how seriously.

I had to read that several times because it makes no sense (next time, try punctuation!), but I think what you're trying to say is that Celine never said RC stopped playing.

Well, she did -

Yeah I think it became more a René/RC thing and she let them have that as their bonding moment. It's a shame tho, cos I think she used to be very good at it.

There's a new pic of RC on Instagram at a beach club in Montreal. It looks like he is appearing to be holding a bong in the pic. At least it's legal now. LOL. Nice to see that RC's having a little fun on holiday, because I guess next for him will be university, since high school is finished.

Incidentally, it's Osheaga weekend in Montreal. Wonder if he and friends are there again this year. Seems he has mostly fallen off the face of the earth as far as social media is concerned, and that's probably a good thing!

 

Do we know if he's headed off to college? Or doing some hockey training thing? Or going to bum around and live off that trust fund?

RC hasn't posted on social media in awhile. Celine recently said in an interview that RC has a girlfriend and is very much in love. I am glad he is being private about it, but I do kinda wonder what his girlfriend looks like, especially since Celine said that his girlfriend is a twin. I am a twin myself, so that makes me naturally curious. I know it isn't any of my business though and I'm just glad he is happy.

 

I can't believe RC is turning 19 in January. Wow. Where does the time go? I know a lot fans don't like hearing about Celine's kids and find it annoying or whatever, but I enjoy it. I always love seeing family pics and hearing how her kids are doing in interviews. I hope we get another family Halloween pic this year!

That's a really lovely message Celine just posted.

 

Happy Birthday to RC. I can't believe he's so grown up... and glad that he seems to have stepped away from social media and is living his life in (relative) privacy. Healthier that way, especially when your every post ends up in French tabloids.

 

I also wonder if him being more private was part of a conscious choice by Celine to keep the twins away from the cameras, too. She use to be much more public with the kids. TV interviews in the family home, cameras along for the ride on tour... now we don't even get family Halloween nor Christmas pictures. For all the "I'm an open book" talk, I think much of that living their life out in public was Rene's doing. I think she's actually far more private, and now more so than ever, especially in comparison to the current crop of pop stars who live out the entirety of their lives on social media and share every waking thought.

And yes, I do miss the family photos. But I think what she's doing now is far healthier for both her and the kids.

I really miss the way René ran things. He used to get Céline involved in so many things and her career was much more active and transparent back then. Aldo’s few years as manager were very promising but sadly, that’s gone too. The current formula, featuring Céline, Dave and Denis as “managers”, isn’t really working for me. I feel like they either don’t care enough, are lazy or are too scared to do more than what’s required (e.g. interviews, special shows, DVDs, documentaries). We need a gambler again. We need Aldo back!

 

Also, I’m still shocked that Céline didn’t post anything on social media to acknowledge her 25th wedding anniversary. If you don’t celebrate your quarter-century anniversary then what do you celebrate?!

I don’t think that Celine insists on him achieving a degree or looking for a job/career. She wouldn’t do that IMO. She is too good as a mom, especially because they have enough money for the next 5 lives to come lol

I assume he is privately attending college and that's probably why things are so silent on the RC front. Celine probably wants to keep it that way while he's in school for his own protection. They probably don't want people to find out where he is receiving his education, if he's evening attending school. That's my thought anyways. I think both RC and Celine want to keep his life as private as they can. He's had a taste of the spotlight and perhaps he decided that it's not his thing and he wants to focus on a new path and goals for his future in private, without all the added pressure of the public's eyes on him and there opinions. Whatever he is doing and decides to do with his future, I hope he does what makes him happy and always follows his heart! Like Celine has said. 'If you follow your heart you can't go wrong'
