She sang "À la plus haute branche" after "Terre", did not sing "Ziggy" and performed "Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour" after the Acoustic Medley. The rest was the same.

· Céline was extremely touched by the warm welcome that the people in Montreal gave her last night. She was nervous before the concert and didn't really expect such an enormous welcome from the public. It was hard for her to believe that the crowd was singing every song with her during the show; they are usually more calmed down in Montreal.

 

 

· She didn't wanna cry during the concert, but couldn't help it at some moments. The reaction of the public made her get emotional.

 

 

· Céline's strength comes from her family.

 

 

· Céline wanted to do S'il Suffisait D'aimer as a tribute to those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks over the world during these past months.

 

 

· At 15 years old, René-Charles is getting even better on golf. Céline left this sport a few years ago.

 

 

· Speaking of René-Charles, he's really enjoying his stay in Montreal. Just like Nelson and Eddy, who can play outside unlike in Vegas 'cause it's too hot there.

 

 

· Céline's concerts now aren't so emotionally difficult as those she gave in August of 2015.

 

 

· She really loves her new stylist, Law Roach, she really likes that he is very passionate about his job.

 

 

· She hasn't closed the door to do cinema, but prefers to wait for a few more years to be a "good old actress".

 

 

· René-Charles commented her once about changing a bit her way of performing All By Myself in Vegas. He wanted her to change the way she pronounces the "by" and that makes Céline think of René.

 

 

· René was the one who picked the photo for the 'Encore Un Soir' album cover. He didn't get to listen to the entire album, but saw all the pictures and that was the one for him.

The press conference runs for 1 hour and 27 minutes, and that after a 2 hour show!! :whee: Can we download that? Because she was BEAUTIFUL there!

A la plus haute branche was truly magical.

 

I loved what they did with L'amour existe encore visuals.

 

And I even forgive her LCMM/RDMH, now that I've seen it live, seen how people dance to it, and how she improvises on it.

 

And that press conference was just as fabulous. She was so candid. And zen.

I hope somebody translates it for the non-French speakers, because it was really a gem, and she's just so much more eloquent in French. She clearly misses Quebec; it must be really lonely in Vegas for her now.

Interesting, too, that all the VIPs - though they walked the carpet and got some champagne - used the same entrances and security scans as us plebs and mingled with the public. I didn't recognize a lot of these people in the Quebec showbiz scene, but there was a lot of selfie-taking with local celebs going on! I saw Patrick go through the metal scan, and Denise Bombardier, Luc Plamondon, even bumped into Jean Pierre Ferland at one point (literally... I didn't look where I was going, and poof, there he was!)

 

It seems all the journalists were sitting around RC, and I gather some took that opportunity to talk to him? Have we found a clip?

"A la plus haute branche" sounds interesting and like nothing she's ever done before. Looking forward to the studio version.

 

I watched roughly 40 minutes of the concert live through the RH facebook and I can't understand how can people not even stand up or clap or move their arms during uptempo songs. Some 100,000 people may have bought 1F&4T in Québec. What a cold reaction to Le vol d'un ange, Valse adieu, they only did some noise when Barnev sang on Apprends-moi. There may have been some 16,000 people there, being Montreal and the first night, half of them should have been dedicated fans. I understand if people don't want to sing along for the whole concert, after all, they go there to listen to the artist, not the audience... but at least be more active, show some emotion!

 

I expected a few more songs from Plamondon since he was in the audience.

 

I have to say "Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour" is among my least favourite tracks of her repertoire. I hope she sang it only because Jean Pierre Ferland was there. So boring that I can't believe Veneruso was involved in the production! Since there's an orchestra onstage, she should replace it with "Et s'il n'en restait qu'une".

Seeing that white outfit in HD is amazing. It so works on her and it complements her well. I like it better then the "penguin" outfit for sure!
