I always felt it was Rene who was opposed to her going off piste with ad libbing/straying from the studio recording. It's a shame because I think that did lead to RoboCeline. With this performance, she sang wonderfully but she didn't 'perform' it enough for me. I like the wide stance and the 'I'm gonna kick the sh*t out of this' attitude when she performs and here, it looked like she was thinking she'd left the spuds on or something. A bit absent.I agree Celine best performances or songs is where she adds her own bits here and there and not sing the song as or near the studio version. And I think usually songs that she has sung for many years has get even better since they has evolved through the years. This is too bad with TPOL since she started kinda early to use pre-recorded track hence sounding basically the same from that point. I mean take a song like MHWGO that she has sung mostly live through the years and when she sings it live in present day it sounds very different with small added bits and different way of singing verses and such compared to the beginning when it was new like the song still feels somewhat fresh and, imo, also for the better. Although some people like when it sounds like the studio version so I guess they has to balance to make everyone happy. Quote < >

I mean I saw her in Stockholm but I have seen all bootlegs and all shows seemed really good.So a bluray release or something would been really nice. There's another performance of La Religieuse on Un DB De Plus which doesn't have the close-ups, but does feature some "sultry" jazzy dancing. And Céline's so over-the-top committed to her lip-synch in the final verse that I'm sure she's going to pull a muscle or 12. Ok, I looked it up because it has to be seen!
