My gosh, I never realized how BORED the audience looks during Alone from TCWT Boston.... Heaven forbid someone moved their head in time with the song.... UGH, I really wish her concerts were back to how they were during FIY... people STANDING and rocking out along with her. Thank god she's doing Kiss/Purple Rain in Vegas to get the audience moving.

I think this is fake. I personally think that this is fan made with altered audio. I don't know where they got the audio for The Reason and Loved Me Back To Life, but I think that all those other audio snippets are just altered versions of the album versions.

 

Anyone who has the right program or tools can alter any song. It just sounds like someone turned down the lead vocals and brought the background ones front and center. That is why some of the snippets sound low and muffled.

I think Angel explained it quite well. And that video of Carole's version of The Reason is another proof for it.

He just took the vocals and modified them through vocal software. Most sound fake anyways.

It's not that easy to separate backing vocal from the rest in a song. Still the video is awesome. It brings new stuff.

Well of course someone modified an album track by muting the lead vocals, so you could hear the backing vocals better! I don't think anyone claimed it was a rare official backing track! I dunno why people are making a fuss over that!

Well that's not what we are saying. We are saying that those are normal/lead vocals that the uploader altered with audio software to make us think those are backing vocals...

In Carole's version of The Reason, you cannot say that Celine's vocals are backing vocals. Yet, the uploader implies those are backing vocals of Celine's version of The Reason.

But it's fine. I just like new material, even if it's just Celine's voice modified.

but they ARE Céline's backing vocals she records backings for her own songs quite often and that's also credited in booklets... As for The Reason, ok it's not the backings for Céline's version, but for the version Carole King recorded in 2001, Céline was pregnant at the time, but recorded new backing vocals for Carole's version, big whoop, it's still Céline backing!

I watched the videos of the uploader and he seems to love playing with audio softwares. So I would say that yes, he tried to remove the lead vocals. But this is no easy task, and the removal of the lead vocals lead to the distortion of the backing vocals. In the end, those are not exactly how Celine's backing vocals sound in the songs, but it's still close to it. He actually did a quite good job.

 

Talking about Celine's backing vocals, i don't know why, but one of my favorite is the one in MHWGO in the second verse. Always catches me!

It's not that difficult to remove lead vocals, actually. I had a stereo, years ago where all I had to do was push a button and it would filter out the lead vocals. Not completely, but about 90%. Most free audio editing software has the same feature. Go through all of her liner notes. You'll be surprised to see how much of her own back up she has done.
