Totally random, but watching the millenium concert on YouTube now and just remembering that pre-youtube, I used to get all these videos from all around the world from you guys!!! I remember buying VHS tapes in the 90s that were basically back to back recordings of interviews and music videos.. Oh God they made me so happy :P I can't remember where I got most of them but I'm sure they must have come from some of you!! I only know my millenium concert came from someone called André! I was like 12 and remember how much I had to convince my parents it wasn't a scam :-D

Lol I know what you mean. It really isn't the same watching things on the Internet. I enjoy putting a video or dvd on far more. Especially the interviews from all over! I miss buying them lol, especially as I can download but not convert to dvd etc.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows of an interview on youtube that's in French, where there are (human-made) French subtitles..?

 

Reason I'm asking is cos I'm trying to practice understanding her before I watch her show in Montreal.. and it's hard to use the auto-generated subtitles on youtube to practice because they really don't pick up the Quebec accent well..!

Subscribe to Condor the subtitler on youtube. They have done so much work adding subtitles to so many of Céline's French interviews. Which, I'm sure all us non fluent French speakers are beyond grateful for! 😊

It's so cool that Celine still owns and wears this leather jacket from this interview you posted. Celine was seen wearing it when she visited The Universal Orlando Studios set on Extra a few years ago. I love that she collects and occasionally wears her old clothes. That jacket is as old as I am. LOL.

Oh yeah. You are right. I never really looked closely before. I'd just remembered someone saying in that past that the jackets were the same, so I just assumed they were. LOL. It is very close though.

Yes, they filmed three videos (Taking Chances, Alone and Eyes on me), but they didn't release the last two.

 

It looks to me these are all the same song - taking chances. She did not sing or lip alone or eyes on me in these clips. They montaged the videos as if she is singing these songs but you can see the lipping is not correct.

i remember that it took me 3 days to download a new day opening night, now im like wow 3 days lol i remember going to a video rental store and i saw divas 98' and vhs brazilian subtitled version i was soooo happy. good times! I used to download it all and record it on a DVD to watch on tv.
