"I think I was always courageous," Dion says, when asked the title of her highly anticipated upcoming album, Courage, set to debut in November. "I hope it doesn't sound pretentious to say that, but I always stressed a lot. We always kind of like just do whatever they suggest to me -- not that I was a robot or anything, not to sound kind of weird, like, do this do that -- but I feel like right now I'm more in charge than ever before and this is definitely a part of my life where the maturity kicks in."

 

"So, courage... it represents a whole new life for me, my album, the tour, the way to dress, the way to say you can't please everyone," she continues. "I dress for me; the way I feel. I want to feel that I feel great about myself, I feel strong about myself, I feel good about my decisions with the help of a lot of people, but it's all about courage and I think everyone should feel like that."

 

 

That robot comment really makes me wonder if she reads the forum. Lol

So we don't even know if Laying Down will be the first single then. If they are teasing song names like this any of them could be the first single. She has probably even recorded new songs since Carpool so who knows Exciting anyway. For LMBTL we already knew the first single months before, I prefer how they are doing things this time. Now i get it: everything was contractual during her Vegas adventure - i guess her hair as well - she had to sing these songs this way and with the look we associated Celine with

The contract is over and she is in charge now.

i have a feeling it was the last time we have seen her long hair - extensions - wigs - We have already seen her with bun or ponytail in the first promo in los Angeles, at Jimmy Kimmel, in Hyde park and also really different outfits..

Makes me really wonder what this change means in terms of music! I am glad she called it Robot Celine - referring to the many shows she did on automode - the many speeches that were scripted - the same songs...

 

So, as much as i like the long hair and the sophisticated classy look, that obviously is over - she is in charge now and i hope this is also a new era in terms of music! Would Rene still have been there I wonder if he would approve her doing deadpool - which did not fit with her current image? I don't think he would.

Id thought that for some time now. Its safe to assume as it is for all acts of a large stature doing a vegas residency: they *have* to sing specific songs / include a certain amount of hits contractually. I also do think clothing was a thing. She never ever brought her high fashion avant garde look to Vegas, which does beg the question why? Imo the Celine from the Celine shows will always be present, she’ll always be the ballad singing, haute couture gown wearing chanteuse, except now, we see more of Celine Marie Claudette Dion-Angelil and what SHE wants us to see.

I bet we wont get sh!t. I bet they will release the next single on the 3rd week of November....just a week before the album release. If its not postponed again a 5th time.

I bet we’ll be listening to lame bootlegs of new songs for the next 2.5 months. Thats how lame the promo is so far.

She might release a single and what used to be known as the “b side” of a single. When Kelly Clarkson’s last album came out, the entire album was available for pre-order; however, her lead single “Love So Soft” was available for download, as well as another song on the album “Move You” immediately upon pre-ordering. Maybe Celine’s team will do something similar?
