And as far as a French album is concerned, I want her to trust herself and write and compose her own material. What she did for Marc Dupré is amazing! And a whole album in that vein could be great, a kind of folk-accoustic type of thing.

David Foster (speaking of which, have they lost touch? I know she performed for one of his concert things a while back but I haven't heard of anything since)
Walter Afanasieff because Immortality is one of my favorites and so is Tell Him
Sia again! Loved Me Back To Life is a gem and I'm bummed we never got a music video but considering the stuggles Celine and the family have been going through lately, it's okay.
Linda Perry! I love My Love because Linda brought out that raw emotion from Celine so I want Linda to write her another song that brings out that raw emotion

I also want some collaborations!
I remember once Celine mentioned she wants to collaborate with Arcade Fire and it's everything I never knew I wanted.
In my dreams she's collaborated with Mariah, and even though they're both very different, distinct artists, someone should take the challenge of making them something great. I'm slightly surprised no one's attempted tbh (that I know of).
For some reason I've always wanted her to collab with Coldplay??? I don't know why ??? (Flop choice, I know)

Céline needs to find the equivalent of JJG for an English album. Who could that be? How about Sting? (not on the same label but stilll...)

There is plenty of young producers waiting for their chance to shine. I'm sure if they give them a shot something fresh and amazing could emerge. I'd love to hear some new sound, nothing generic from Guetta. I don't want Celine to sound like everything whats on charts right now. I'd be in heaven if her new songs had Jessie Ware vibe!... :wub:

I must say that, looking back on the last three english albums, her team seems to have lost the ability to make it a cohesive effort. ANDHC was a masterful album with a current sound, great vocal recordings and production. The album flows. TC and LMBTL are great albums - but in my opinion they sound more like compilations. Even OH had more of a flow. I'd like them very much to return her to the freshness and lightness that was ANDHC - though at the time she was something like the happiest woman on earth, and now there is a more serious situation - but this album has the classic Celine branded all over it. Coincidentally this was also the last album with her classic logo font. Maybe they should bring that back and make it an example.

Madonna receives scorn from many because she works with younger producers, and some scoffed at Celine when she kept using the word "edgy." I think LMBTL had some fabulous, modern songs. Let's see more from Eg White and Sia. Less from Diane Warren and let's keep David Foster in the 1990s. Lord, he'll have her sing with one of his young 9 year old talent du jour.

I'd be happy with one Diane Warren song on a new album. I think she's a great songwriter. "Unfinished Songs" on "Loved Me Back To Life" is one of my favorites from the album. I agree with you about David Foster. As for Sia? I'd like to see "Loved Me Back To Life" be her one and only Sia song. The song is good, but it's definitely not a mind-blowing masterpiece by any means. Not even close. If a person really listens to it, it definitely sounds like a song Sia rejected because it wasn't good enough for her own album, so she just gave it to Celine. I'm not saying that's what happened. I'm just saying that's what the song sounds like to me.

I wish Celine will be the first lady to do an album with Mandarin songs with new lyrics in english. I suggest u guys to listen to a song called 'jian ao' which means suffering by Jess Lee. It suits Celine very very well. And also 'shi lian wu zui'by 'a lin'. They r very very nice songs though

And though I love Céline. ... I HATE jazz so she can skip that idea :giggle: she should go back to soft rock/ pop rock like TCOML and FIY were

a jazz album? ( apart from that I HATE it) She will slayed by Jazz-lovers and so will her cd. I think it is important she stays in her comfort zone.

Loved me back to life is a perfect example that she can be modern and still maintain her style.

Maybe even go a bit out of that comfortzone by recording a big trance song with Armin van Buuren or record a song with the producers of Within Temptation or Evanescence?

Defintely Sia and Neyo!

Also throw in Adele, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera.. for powerhouse duets

Add a little old school pop with Megan Trainor and Olly murs

top it off with up tempo dance hits with pit bull with music produced by snoop dogg (who has stated he has tempos and beats primarily made for celine only:

add in eminem as a special surpise on the album => you have a good mix!

That was 13 years ago,and it's a screamfest. The studio recording is better than her live performance.

Well, I didn't exclude studio recordings, I said in general that he brings the best out of her vocally and used live performance as an example. He also didn't produce her live performance "I Surrender" in AND, but when he performed "Because You Loved Me" with her in Vegas, it was still better than her last live performance of it without him...even if the one before him was lipped.

I'd like to see her do something outside the box and outside her comfort zone - not the same "I wanna make a hit pop album" type of record. Her voice is so great that it's a shame to use it ONLY for pop. A great standards, jazz, or dance album would be a great change of pace and I think Celine would enjoy it. Her albums aren't gonna sell a jillion albums anymore, so she should go for something she really wants to record to be part of her legacy and not just try for "hits" like some other artists that have been around for a while.
