R&B is fine with me, I just don't want them to mess with her voice and make it sound like she's been sucking helium again!! IGNL would have been a great song but u can't get past her sound and why they thought it was ok!!!! I like "Ma Faille" ok but why they messed with her voice is frustrating!!

they made her voice higher in IGNL because she couldn't sing as high as they wanted the song to be.

she could sing it as high as they raised her pitch but they recorded it lower and last minute decided it would be better higher if i remember correctly?

Hopefully, as she goes back to Vegas this week, they will announce more news regarding this new English album.

This will put an end to all this documentary rubbish.

Why didn't they just bring her back in the studio?

probably cause it was too late to redo vocals

I don't see "Incredible" as a far stray from what she normally does. I think it's got a great arrangement, a lovely message and she sounds wonderful on it.

I really like Incredible but the Vegas version butchered the song and Barnev ruins it too. That is why they should remove it from the current setlist

What did they say about Celine? Something about her "panties" ?

I liked the Vegas arrangement after Scott took over. Barnev kills everything he sings though. Yuck.

Tbh I really don't know. I haven't been paying that much attention to it. The vibe I get is that they brought up the whole Kaven thing again and other supposed allegations. I don't know but tbh I don't care because they are going way too overboard with it.

lol works for me, less headlines. Or maybe more headlines now that the big orange man with little hands Donald Trump is taking the oath of office in 3 days. :(

It would be amazing if How Does A Moment Last Forever became a monster hit and the lead single of the new album. The Beauty And The Beast movie could be perfect for Celine's new album. However, only if it's done right. It needs to kind of be Beauty And The Beast 2.0 or My heart Will Go On 2.0.

How Does A Moment Last Forever doesn't really sound like a monster hit. I know we only heard a snippet of a demo with the male composer's vocal but it sounds like a song from a musical. It doesn't sound like a radio friendly hit. I think it's safe to say that the song isn't going to propel the album to the masses. Die hard Celine fans will be interested in the song. The general public may think it's pretty but I don't see it being a monster hit.

Ehmmmmm NO :wtf: A lead single from her next album, which is supposed to be her big comeback, coming from Disney? No thank you. I think she can do better than that. Not that according to that video preview the song doesn't sound like radio material at all.

I think the key to making "How Does a Moment Last Forever" a hit is by reworking it to sound like a modern pop ballad. Which is pretty much what happened with the original Beauty and the Beast song. In the film it sounded like a show tune, whereas the Celine and Peabo version sounded much more like a pop song from the early 90's. Hopefully they don't just have Celine singing the song like Alan Menken did in the video with just a piano as the instrumentation, but instead make it really heavy and orchestral. Something really bombastic and magical sounding.

I haven't heard it. Not even the demo you're talking about. Do you have a link?

I don't really see a problem with it being Disney, however, I don't think it will be a monster hit. I would love for it to be a monster hit, but I understand what you mean. I need to listen to the demo and maybe it's obvious that this song isn't what I want it to be.

well celine needs to standup to the plate and deliver it, well

Yeah but look at LET IT GO.

It was finally the movie version that became a massive hit, and not the "pop", radio-friendly one.

That's a valid point for sure! I guess just for me personally I would enjoy the song more if it were a poppy sound rather than be a show tune. Plus I don't see this song reaching the level of success that "Let it Go" did if it tries to follow the same formula. It would be interesting if it was done like a Florence and the Machine or Ellie Goulding style ballad though IMO.

Even the movie version by Idina Menzel wasn't a bad sound for radio.

I have to agree because the demo just doesn't scream "play me on the radio!!!" I will gladly eat my words though and stranger things have happened.

It's a sweet little song, but doesn't strike me as hit material. But then again, MHWGO didn't at first listen either.

Did Let It Go get radio play?

I bet Celine will be at the Oscars next year for the film!

I'm not sure how much radio play it got, but the movie version was certainly the more popular one. It peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The pop version by Demi Lovato, peaked at 38.

Now the success of Idina's version is also greatly due to the fact that it was performed in full in the movie, being that Idina Menzel also voiced the character of Elsa in the movie. I don't think this success will be the case for Celine. Her version won't be featured in the actual movie, until the credits roll. Soundtracks to movies just aren't as popular as they used to be. They used to fly off the shelves, which is a huge part of why Celine and Peabo's version of BATB was so successful. I will gladly eat my words if I'm proven wrong, but times have changed and I'm not putting my eggs in one basket for this one.
