Haha I am glad I am not the only one. Couldn't concentrate for weeks when LMBTL was released and happens everytime she releases something new. It's a medical condition for sure that no doctor can treat.

I don’t like November releases, because you cannot enjoy the new music during summer while being outside, enjoying the sun and making memories for life during summer vacation. November is dark, busy and I prefer spring / summer for Celine album releases. Who is with me?

Yes, as a doc myself, I know the treatment.

Unfortunately it is something that you won’t recover from, although sometimes there are periods when you experience less symptoms.

The main treatment though is, to listen/watch the new Céline material and sometimes mix it up with golden oldies or not-so-golden-oldies-but-yet-very-excellent-to-listen-to, to prevent any boredom (if that would ever happen... not).

But yup, no cure... it’s palliative treatment. (I’d wish all diseases could be treated this easily, even those diseases where there’s only palliative treatment for.)

If the album is ready (that I think it is), it would be a good idea - markting-wise - to release it now. I mean, announcing it now and releasing in 2 weeks max.

 

Céline is living a momentum she won't live again, whatever her next single will be, with whoever she could duet or by whoever her song could be penned.

But Vegas is more important you know Resuming her show to sing forever the same songs for a dead audience is far more important than offering any new recordings to her public (located *everywhere*) or exploring new musical boundaries with her vocal talents (even if it’s been 5 long years without new music)...

Well, she could do both, if her team/label do a good job on the web. As for the interviews, we know media can go to her in Vegas. So, sorry, but Vegas is not the limit. As you can see, she had BBMAs two blocks away from her, and she didn't go.

Lol my post was ironic, I do know well Vegas is not the limit -it shouldn’t be-, but she has limited and constrained herself to Vegas schedule just because, I do know that.

 

She made her career revolve around her Vegas residency since 2003, we all know that, with all the pros and cons it brought to her.

 

So if she doesn’t take advantage of a momentum in her career or a rise of popularity with a single, let’s not forget what’s in between and the obstacle impeding her to do more things. Add to that that she has the most lazy record company that constantly ignores her releases and her new music, and we get what we have since 2003.

The last time we had a well promoted album was TC, LMBTL wasnt too bad but obviously with renes illness getting worse im pretty sure thats why promo stopped.

I think Celine will keep the momentum in 2018. We thought last summer was the time with all the attention she was getting and look now she is back on top. We don't know what they have in the pipeline, they could surprise us with this album. But a release now will mean poor sales, better chart positions maybe but bad sales. They will wait for Q4 and unless Beyonce decides to release too I don't see any major threat (apart from Rihanna, although I heard she is aiming for reggae sound so we'll see...) Why do I think she’ll sing Ashes?

Because it’s the number one movie in the world this week, from the top album on iTunes and its charting globally.

 

So while we may be disappointed I do think it’s a very good chance.

Agree she needs to release the album this year. Make it happen. Fools if they don't.

She will release it this year just once the tour is done.

 

Think about it she’s traveling the world to sold out concerts,. Why would she release an album before that? Tickets are sold anyways?

Better to finish the tour, come back, release the album and promote it as much as she wants in the states.

I think they really work too much around that stupid Vegas and tour schedule.

 

Like Ronny said, she is living the momentum now.

And it can be her moment still in 5 months, but it can easily be not.

 

She really had A LOT of moments the past 2 years where they could act on it, but they never ever did.

 

There are already dates going around for her fall dates in Vegas, where in my opinion she should have time off after the tour, to promote the album full time.

She should have a new manager, and Sony should treat her like royalty. Not just someone who releases an album and not care anymore.

One more thing to add is that the way an album is promoted has now changed: an artist can even have only 1 big TV appearance and the rest done on the web.

 

Look at Adele: she didn't have so many TV appearances, but her exposure was AWESOME.

 

There are tons of web/media marketing tricks that can do 1000x more than a TV show.

Its quite good for her the break then vegas to get her rested then back into the swing of performing. Then if she finishes Oct 6, they can do a Late october release around the 20th and then she has from then until Late November to promote it
