One of my favourites ever: a casual Celine, in jeans, relaxed and in an outdoors, sunny scenery

 

You just don’t need a large table with a full display of giant jewelry and necklaces or an entiere shop of shoes and dresses to choose from to take beautiful photos. Sometimes the best looks are the most simple and the best sceneries are free, surrounding you I’d rather have this fresh, simple Celine than the overdone and excessively ornated Celine versions we’ve been receiving since the 2012 photoshoots.

 

Less is more.

haha probably. I'm a bit negative that the album will be out this fall though Unless she's already finished recording all the songs.

Someone already explained it here why celine dion always release her albums in the fall.. but i forgot. Why not release the album this summer? Maybe she can sing a new song in this upcoming summer tour like she did back in 2016

More sales around Christmas and then follow up sales for valentines and mother’s day .... but it also has negative aspects as a new single has no chance in d3cemebr with Christmas songs

Yes! And please, also add some background scenery behind her! Outdoors photoshoot! No more boring shots standing before a in-studio photo background!

 

It's not that hard to come up with some creativity and ideas to take her new pictures, is it?

 

Yes. I would love for it to be outdoors. Enough with the indoor green screen background. A full photoshoot on location somewhere would be nice.

 

I wouldn't want that ANDHC look back though. Except for the actual photo used for the album cover, I don't really like the rest of it. She has a very "mom" look there. With the haircut and everything, maybe it's the combination of bangs and more reddish brown hair. I think the darker hair makes her look older, whilst her lighter dark blonde look is a little bit more youthful. Or maybe it's just the ANDHC "dark" look I don't prefer. The one part I like about it though, is how relaxed it is.

 

I do love the jeans and t-shirt idea though.

Jesus, the ANDHC photoshoot was SO extensive that I totally forgot about these indorrs pictures. She looks absolutely delicious here :blush:

 

Not only did she record dozens and dozens of songs for this album, but she also took TONS of pictures in many many different locations (and variations of the same picture too!). God bless Patrick Demarchelier, he should release a full coffee table book containing all this work in glossy photo paper

This is too Mariah. Except Celine actually looks "natural" with her pose, or as natural as one can be in that pose i guess. She looks gorgeous, but I would much rather prefer a jeans & t-shirt combo.Truthfully, I don't really obsess over her hair this much usually, but the hairstyle and color is just so strange in this era. It just throws me out of it. Not necessarily in this particular picture, but this whole era of bad hair.

I'm very sure they had to say a lot about the styling and yes that does not include loads of jewelry but that wasn't the fashion at the time... Who knows what kind of boring photoshoot we would have gotten if they didn't interfere with it.

I don't want to rain on your birthday parade Jav, but did you know that this indoor shoot was mostly done because of a spread in Elle Magazine? A FASHION magazine

I dooo know the photos were used for the Elle magazine!! BUT this photoshoot is actually featured in the ANDHC making of the album DVD, so it was done for the album too! Or at least it's part of the album because it's included in the same making of DVD and/or done during the same days

 

Also some of those pictures were used by Team Celine for promotional purposes and cards in that year, so it wasn't really done for Elle magazine exclusively (though Elle was the first magazine to use them, that's true)

 

 

My guess is that they did two different photoshoots to promote the album, but with different uses: one was done to be included in the album artwork specifically and then another one was done for promotional purposes, and that included magazines like Elle, Team Celine goodies, etc. But Elle it's not the only magazine that featured the pictures, they were sold also to other magazines in other countries and as promotional photos to be included in several of these articles.

 

To be more precise, actually the ANDHC album had THREE different photoshoots, the main album photoshoot in the beach and outdoors, the indoors photoshoot and then there's also the original 2001 photoshoot by Melvin Sokolsky! So that's 3 photoshoots for the same album, isn't that impressive?

I kind of think it’s exciting how she’s so quiet at the moment. Obviously recovering from her op and now planning the rest of the year - between a great setlist, new single and album and refreshed in Vegas... this sabbatical will be a distant memory soon enough
