I wonder if all this news was to be held until Monday, but somebody leaked the information to all these big news agencies and it came out before it was supposed to be told.

What i find most exciting is - "It's very touching," she adds. "Every night is a new show … I promise there will be high, happy notes."

So meaning that no night is the same? Not the same setlist each night but changes in each show?

Yeah, what exactly could that mean?

And when they say, "a new act" what does that mean? I haven't heard them phrase it that way before. This is silly but when they say a new act it kind of makes me think she will be juggling chain saws while singing... :giggle:

I think new act means new show in general . It's the same concept for and opening act, they may do a couple of songs like a mine show, or some outrageous talent performed in a period of time. Either way it's a show,although it is strangely worded.

Revamp- to give new and improved form,structure or appearance.

If it was tweaked I don't think they'll mention it. They've made many changes in 'A New Day' and didn't announce it like this. Also tweaked and added a few more songs to "Celine", RITD, LMBTL, I, exclusion of the Michael Jackson tribute,etc.

Personally, I feel like it's a whole new show, of course with some things from the previous one.

Well they fired 4 band members so it can't be exactly the same. They did that to tweak her image and revamp the show. And now they've officially said a revamped show. Even if they keep a similar concept I'm thinking it'll be a whole new show. I definitely don't think it will be the same with only a few minor changes.

Not to sound harsh but am I the only one who hopes the orchestra is next to go? I think it doesn't bring any excitement to the show. I think a beautiful choir could be awesome and bring new life into classics like, Love Can Move Mountains, The Power of the Dream, Call the Man etc as well as give a perfect opportunity for songs like Thankful and even Unfished Songs to shine.

I personally believe that it means changing up some of the songs, the costumes and maybe some of the background images used in the show. So to me it means updating the show. I still see the orchestra being part of it.

I think they mean a new show. And I wonder about the new costumes with the "new image". I mean I know they'll be classy, but, nonetheless, it'll be interesting to see how they look! I'm just so happy, I didn't expect this at all today, and I'm just honestly "overjoyed". (Don't take it literally, just a word that happens to be humorous on here atm lol!!!) It wasn't such a shock, but it was a surprise.

Probably not. The Asia tour was going to be fan favorites and surprises. It was also supposed to be a way different show than the others, the "revamped" is most likely going to be more American-Canadian based. I see more ANDHC, FIY, COML hits being added and excluding the covers.

I do hope to see the Asian Tour happen badly.

The day has finally come! I am over the moon excited about this announcement..I thought it would have been made last week, but regardless I am so happy its been officially announced. This is just the beginning stages and its going to be very exciting! This will be so much fun to talk about see everything that happens over the next few months. Celine is back!!!

and for the show since Mego the musical director is gone of course it will be a new show, i do hope they keep Open arms and the water fall!!

can't wait to see the changes

would love the power of the dream in it!! can you imagine they use this song for closing (probably not) or like encore song it would be amazing! receiving standing ovation at the high point of the song!!just imagine this gives me goosebumps .. lol

I used the word "elements" in my "ponderment". That can mean anything from an entire segment, a few songs or a song, an interlude, lighting effects, etc. Assuming money was already spent on rehearsals, etc., it would be fiscally and artistically irresponsible to not try and use things from the cancelled Asia tour in some fashion somewhere down the road if that tour never happens. I wouldn't be all that surprised if we see some items in this new show that look or sound as if they were to be used for a touring production. After all, many elements" from "A New Day..." found their way into the "Taking Chances World Tour" (i.e. "Hits Medley," "I Drove All Night" playback, etc.).

I hope "Open Arms" gets the shaft when she returns in August. After everything that has gone on, I think a better opening song would be "The Greatest Reward." While I know the song was geared towards R.C. when it was recorded, the song's meaning can just as easily apply to Celine's fans, too. Plus, it is very orchestral. So, if the orchestra stays in place, it will fit the theme of the show very well. Lastly, it's a very dramatic song; very "Celine Dion"!

I certainly hope there's quite a few changes and it's not just a few songs added/removed and new costumes. That would be a bit of a let down and I certainly don't see a point in even mentioning the "revamp" if that's the case. I hope it feels like a new show. Plus considering how much money I'm gonna end up spending I'll be a bit ticked off if it ends up being fairly the same to the last show. :giggle:

Whoa! Not sure if I've ever seen Rene in jeans before. Glad to see him doing better.

Celine looks fantastic as always. Hoping "revamped" means the new show includes more of her own songs.

There are a few pics of around of him wearing jeans I'm sure. But you're right he does seem very relaxed and casual now doesn't he! Obviously his partial retirement suits him well.

Revamped does'nt mean a brand new show... Simply little changes in different areas of the same show: costumes, songs, visuals, staging, and obviously the musician changes.

I wish it would be a whole new show and it would be very wise to do so but I highly doubt it. As someone of you've said here, she doesn't look revamped at all on this picture... I believe that they will just change a few songs or costumes but I don't expect much. I prefer to be pleasantly surprised rathen than disappointed again.

I think that maybe thing will clear up during the interview but in my opinion if it was to be a new show, they would say it explicitely "Celine coming back with a totally new show" or sth like, alas, revamped/refreshed doesn't mean that

First of all - that picture - Celine needs to get rid of that grandma dress and use the french white minidress again. The overall look is too classy and makes her look old.

I have a feeling the second option is the the one we are about to see.. you never know in Celineworld. But then again, there has been plenty of time to rehearse a new show in secret. Maybe a new music team has already been created and the stage and lighteffects were already in production? As for the orchestra - I do like the orchestra, but I hope the arrangement for example my heart will go on gets a Grammy's 1998 treatment - not the same old version we have heard year after year..

And they should definately bring in more uptempo songs, also from her latest album. And I hope ain't gonna look the other way will be one of the new power ballads!

And then you look at me should definately be added too. And in terms of covers, well maybe - the best from tina? River deep can go if I could decide, and overjoyed also.

Can't wait what they have in store for us!!
