She sounds fantastic. It was a good move to use the opening run to ensure she started off in the right note, as it could have really thrown the kids off otherwise. But I do wish there wasn't SO MUCH of the choir. They sounded great and all, but from a Céline fan standpoint, it was a bit of a disappointment.

And the cheek of that little fella to come out at the end and steal the last line from her.

I expect that when she went over to him she gave him a clip round the ear!

Wow. she sounds wonderful! This performance truly proves that she is such a professional singer and she can really deliver

What, too much of the choir!!?? It's not a Céline concert! This was a contest for choirs to sing with Céline!!!

It' a fundraising event for a children's hospital....

Imagine if you were one of the kids in the choirs that won the contest and you end up singing 3 words...

Errmm.... I said as a Céline FAN I'd rather hear more of her. Just cause I want that it doesn't mean I didn't want the choir in it at all. Im quite happy for the kids to be there with her. Good luck to them.

But I wanted to hear more of Celine, especially as she was in such good voice and it was a live performance. Besides, ersonally, if I was chosen for a choir to sing with Celine Dion, I'd rather sing WITH her. So maybe some of the kids would have liked that too. No one ever mentioned they should only sing 3 words. That's just ridiculous.

Gregory Charles, if you're a big fan, I think you should recognize him by now. Stand By Me, did backup a bit for LTAL, Star Academie, etc...

 

And I'm the only one but I guess I will have no other choice but to grow to love this hair that looks over processed and wig like, the drag queen makeup, and the "it doesn't make sense" outfits she's wearing. Sorry not being a downer, but just doing it for me in the nicest way. At least with Annie, the look, hair, makeup, made sense and had a style. This? I don't know what she's going for.

 

But back to the important thing, she does sound great, nice tone, no nasality, though it seems like she dropped the key a semitone lower? May just be the section of the song the clip is showing however.

Oh! That's where I've seen him! The Star Academy medley in 2012 had him in it.

Not quite sure if I like it. It's something Dolly Parton would wear!

Yeah not crazy about it.... I know it's a formal event but there are better choices I would think.... :)

Is it me or her hair does not look "healthy" don't like the flat ironed look the side bangs looks off...

I'don't know I think she needs some keratine LOL

She sounded AHHmazing!!! Love the hair, loath the granny dress... You can tell Annie is gone *however wasn't fond of all the blazer looks she was doing prior to her resigning*

Can anyone tell me what she sang/said in the press release/interviews? And guys, I know looks matter to you, but if you couldn't see, it wouldn't. Just try and "see" this from my point of view, in the end, it's all about the voice/sound, be lucky you have what some do not. However, loving it that so far, the disagreements have been respectful/not gotten out of hand yet. Hopefully we can keep it that way.

I didn't have the chance to listen/watch the performance yet, but from the photos here I must say she looks amazing.

 

Her hair looks beautiful and her dress is very appropriate to the occasion.

Found it on YouTube. love it. The kids are adorable. I too wish there had been just a bit less of the kids. They were a tiny bit overpowering. However, I do completely get the point/reason behind it, and I thought she did some neat new things I really loved. I can't see if she was emotional/crying etc. I do have to wonder if maybe they planned it for that little boy to end the song. I would not have, but hey, it was cute! :)

The choir was beautiful.

And her rendition was SO different from the usual ones!

 

BTW, didn't anyone get a Bee Gees feel when she sang "de nos peu-eurs"

 

I'm glad this performance will be on YouTube forever. I think it's something really special and unique!

so much simplicity from her in this trip. How she talks,her words and the tone of her voice, her look, she is the top. And the song could have sound different because also of the accoustic , this is the new concert hall for the symphonic orchestra and for the opera also. Great place, i would hope it would have give her the desire to come back here or somewhere that sounds as good to do show , accoustic or something different.
