LukeD Posted July 10, 2014 at 03:58 AM Posted July 10, 2014 at 03:58 AM Given the fact PQTME shined during the first show I always thought SSDA should shine in this one. Also, as much as I like NMQP, singing an original song >>> doing a Karaoke cover. 6 Quote

Jessyka Posted July 10, 2014 at 12:28 PM Posted July 10, 2014 at 12:28 PM I'd love to hear Only One Road on the show. But I guess she would struggle with that one nowadays. 1 Quote http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/backup674/Banners/Image1.jpg
isurrender Posted July 10, 2014 at 12:48 PM Posted July 10, 2014 at 12:48 PM It's time to bring back "That's The Way It Is"...PERIOD! It's a shame this great record of Celine's continues to be ignored year after year. It is a well-known Celine original and did great on the charts. Why it has been neglected for so long is ludicrous, in my opinion. It's really easy to understand why she doesn't sing it anymore. That's one of the few smart moves they ever did. TTWIT "flickers" with "pop of the late 90's" all around. "Baby one more time", " I want it that way"... all from the same period and team. TTWIT is soooooooooooooo outdated nowadays, no wonder why she doesn't sing it anymore. It was just a "snapshot" of that period and meant to stay where it came from. It lacks the timeless status other songs can have. Please just leave that song in 99 ...it has nothing to do with pop songs of today. Quote

flutefreak Posted July 10, 2014 at 02:53 PM Posted July 10, 2014 at 02:53 PM On my wish list is Love Doesn't Ask Why. I just recently have gotten out the colour of my love album again and I am obsessed with this song! I'd just like to hear her sing it live now with her current voice. Also I have always loved nothing broken but my heart. Would love to hear some of those great oldies again. 6 Quote
Jessyka Posted July 10, 2014 at 03:41 PM Posted July 10, 2014 at 03:41 PM It was playback when she did it in the 90s... SuperLove4Celine Posted July 10, 2014 at 05:33 PM Posted July 10, 2014 at 05:33 PM I put that in my "dream" Asia setlist. I love LCMM/RDMH though, she does an amazing job with them. If "That's The Way It Is" is performed in Asia, those fans best consider themselves VERY lucky! I would envy them a ton if this were to happen! Ehhhhhh, yes times 100000 "Tous les blues..." would fit very nicely in "Celine." Perhaps either right before, or right after "The Reason"? Water from the moon, just a little bit of love, only one road, no living without loving you, falling into you, the greatest reward, reveal, somebody loves somebody... All songs she can easily perform, ballads, uptempo and all celine! :-)I take the first plane to vegas if she does them all! I truly hope "Somebody Loves Somebody" doesn't get relegated to only a couple live performances for TV. That song is so good and so fresh, it deserves to be presented to the public as much as possible. I would also love for "Reveal" and/or "Just A Little Bit Of Love" to get some time in the spotlight, too! Any song of Celine's catalog could fit in well with her current show. It's just a matter of taking the time and effort to make it work. As for the song's arrangement, that could be reworked. The remix of "I'm Alive" during the "Taking Chances World Tour" worked very well, and felt effortless. This is what could be done to "That's The Way It Is" today. 2 Quote

Timster Posted July 12, 2014 at 03:04 PM Posted July 12, 2014 at 03:04 PM Oh yeah, it was there at the beginning, right? But just as an introduction to LCMM. During the rehearsals she actually sang the verse and chorus. It was 2 semitones lower than the original, so it's unclear as to whether it was playback like the 90s tours or not. For the main shows they cut Celine's part and just had the background singers doing the chorus before LCMM started... Quote

Kyle_Jared Posted July 12, 2014 at 04:38 PM Posted July 12, 2014 at 04:38 PM (edited) Miles to Go (Before I sleep) is one of my all time favourites and probably favourite from LTBL. Would love to hear this in Celine. Why she has kept the same setlist for going on four years beats me. Finally to see SSDA included is a breath of fresh air. "Call the Man" "Immortality" and "Only One Road" or even "The Colour of my Love" would sound splendid with an Orchestra. Anybody else think that opening which includes "Open Arms" could be replaced with "If You Asked Me To."." used to be that I believed in something used to be that I believed in love... It's been a long time since I had that feeling... ….I could love someone, I could trust someone I said I never let nobody near my heart again, I said, I'd let nobody in…but….. Curtain Drop" If You Asked me To" http://youtu.be/KOzXdMcsCpw it's so good live! Edited July 12, 2014 at 04:41 PM by Kyle_Jared Quote
