And then when it was a mutual friend's birthday a couple of months later, she suggests taking that friend out, and gives that other friend a gift, but STILL doesn't mention that she has totally forgotten (or chosen to ignore) yours? That happened to me today and I can't help feeling hurt and upset, even though my birthday was several months ago and I feel like it's petty to want someone to say happy birthday. But I came home crying and feel like I can't relate to this friend unless I say something to her about it. Our mutual friend said I shouldn't say anything because it will just put her on the defensive and not accomplish anything. But I feel so hurt that I still want to say something. Bad idea? We don't really speak much to each other anymore and I really don't know what happened. She gave me some lame excuse when i finally brought it up.We were friends for more than 10 years.Interesting, is your friend named Nancy!? Lol!
