Dad passed away last year. Mum passed away almost 8 weeks ago. I'm fed up, very down, fed up with my job, and finding it harder every day to even get up. I've just started paying for my own funeral. Thought its easier than getting life insurance. It's so much fun being an adult.

Time heals all wounds, so they say. Hang in there! Have you thought of just throwing a dart at a map of the world and moving and starting fresh? Sometimes a complete change could do you good?

I have felt a lot like this since losing my sight. We never get used to things or "move on" but we do get used to a new normal, however painful/difficult. Death of loved ones especially can be tough. I am so sorry for this tough time in your life.

I'm good, Bell. Survived Thanksgiving. I hate the holidays because, for one I can't see all the pretty colors anymore, two, the older I get, the not-so-fun they become like it was when I was a kid, and three, holidays = obligation to family. I never parity things/people I love, but if I had to rename these are special times, I would call it, These Are Stressful Times. Anyway, yesterday was the first hurdle, now to survive Christmas. And shop for it. I hate it when Thanksgiving falls less than a month away from Christmas. Yesterday at the party I went to, there were so many adorable newborns, young toddlers, and little kids running around. My cousin, her husband and kids came up from Oregon, and the cousins who never get to see the kids, ages 11, 7, and 5, for obvious reasons only wanted to play with them. They ran around and played and laughed. Us adults were passing around newborn baby Conor David, born on October 25 of this year. So tiny, guys. Like a baby doll size tiny. I do not know why, but every time I hold a baby, and I've been like this since I was a teen-ager, I start crying. i cannot explain it. I don't get it. My cousin and her family showed up, and their relationships are interesting, The oldest son is 3 and his mom is teaching him French because we have a Parisian in our family. I rarely see her, but if I do, you know what I want to ask her/talk to her about. Anyway, the man my cousin married is Guadamala, so this 3 year old is bound to become at least knowledgeable in at least 3 languages. He's a mommy's boy, and their 1 year old is a daddy's girl. I wonder so much what it's like to be a daddy's girl and to have your dad be a physically and emotionally safe person in your life who makes you feel valued and adored, like a little Princess. The three mothers of all these kids are either sisters, or sisters-in-law. I felt so left out of the clique, talking about onezies, size 3's and 4's etc. My aunts and grandparents have been trying to get me to move back there for years, and I realize now that if I even did that, I still would not be included, I'd be on the outside looking in. I always seem to be there and it really sucks. Anyway, to rap up this novel, the food was delicious and I have left-overs. Hope everyone else had a good one, and a great day today. It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!

quick question for you (I'm just curious) - were there any rumours / news in local Bulgarian media regarding your participaton in next year's Eurovision? I just realised that Bulgaria is the only country which is yet to announce its decision regarding ESC 2015, even though the confirmation deadline had expired something like 2 months ago.

 

I'd appreciate it if you knew something about it

I know what you mean -- it's funny to be around mothers who are about the same age as you, and not be part of it. I'm 33 and single, so this happens to me fairly often, whether with friends or family members. The funny thing is that when we were teenagers, I was always the one saying I would get married relatively young, and be a stay-at-home mom of lots of kids. And now I'm a single thirtysomething career woman, which I never really expected. Things don't always turn out the way we plan. I still want to be a mother someday, though. And holding babies is definitely emotional. It doesn't make me cry, but there's something magical about it, but with lots of mixed emotions (I always kind of think, "I want one of those!")
