Well it must be old homes week, cuz here I come too. My anniversary is today, 4 years. I feel old too! LOL Hope everyone is doing well. We're getting some rain here, finally, but sorry to say I can't ship any out to any other rain-deprived places. And, :( I got a sixty-day notice that I have to move on sunday. So in quite a panic but trying to stay calm. :P It's sad that so many original forum members and friends no longer come on here. A new batch of people has come along, that's always good I guess. I hope this place is around for a very long time. Wish everyone well!

I didn't know were else I could ask this question and possibly get an answer, so I though I would try the Off Topics section on the forum.

I know I can probably get the answers to my problem on a technical support website, but I thought I would see if anyone hear can help me?

Recently I purchased a new HD, RCA t.v. and everything is working great except for my dvd player picture quality. I don't know what the problem is. I hooked everything up correctly, but the picture quality when I switch over from t.v. to dvd is really bad.

I was wondering if it could have anything to do with the actual dvd player itself. My dvd player is called hdmi dvd dvp player. I'm thinking the problem might be my type of cables that I am currently using on my dvd player. Right now my dvd is hooked up with RCA red, white and yellow cables.

I'm wondering, since my t.v. itself is hd maybe I need to purchase a hdmi cable. I don't know alot about this stuff, but does anyone on hear know if it's normal for a hdmi dvd player to have a poor quality picture when hooked up with RCA cables and not a hdmi cable?

It's pretty bad quality in the picture. I don't know how to explain it. It's like a design of lines across the sceen. Like a netting pattern.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help to answer my question. :)

I hope that happens too. I'm sorry the person who asked about their TV didn't get an answer, or at least that I saw. Technical problems suck! :( :P

I'm not sure, but I think you do need HD input to get HD output . . .so if you hook up an input (like the DVD player) with the red, white, and yellow cables, you won't get an HD output (not sure why you have the netting stuff on the screen, though). I think you need an HDMI cable. This website may help: http://www.digitalla...ht-hdtv-cables/

BTW, I've recently had a dream that Luis is back on the forum. Hope it comes true.

Hi Bell! Luis seems to be busy making tons of fun YouTube videos about the Billboard charts. I think this is his YouTube page (it used to be called "Luis Manuel," but he changed the name at some point to "Hot Music Charts"): https://www.youtube.com/user/luisma4

I'd love to contact him, but I don't know how to do a private message on YouTube.

Thank you for providing me this website. :) I have somewhat fixed the problem. I forgot to mention in my previous post that along with my t.v. having the small lines going all the way through like a netting pattern, the color was also showing in black and white. I managed to get it showing in color now, but there is know sound playing on the dvd.

I think I do need to buy the hdmi cable. It should take care of both the audio and video and it's perfect for me because it looks like a very simple setup. Thank you very much for your help. :-D

Morning everyone! I'm happy today. Remember the boy from Bulgarian X factor? I posted a video of his performance some time ago. Last night Slaivn won! I'm really happy for him. He's a talented singer and a nice person as well. Edited by Bell

Anyone else have issues with their keyboard when trying to type a PM or reply to a message?

It's something to do with the forum as it only happens here....

It's almost as if the keyboard is slowed down somehow.
