"Loved Me Back To Life" album - Official Topic

Since this topic is about albums, I thought this would be the perfect place to ask a question about Celine's albums.

 

Does anyone know how many albums Celine has sold world wide? Not just Loved Me Back To Life, but all her albums combined? I know Rene said that Celine had sold 220 million albums on the Katie Curic Show, but that was awhile ago, so I was wondering if anyone new the current amount of albums sold?

 

I heard that she has reached 300 million since then, but it would be nice to know the current amount, because there are lots of different numbers that people have said she has sold.

I think they should re-issue the album...do a deluxe edition when she decides to come out of hiding again. I know it won't happen, but like "Delles" she didn't get to give this album the life she felt it deserved.

Yes ANDHC was great up untill GTSW... Of course Vegas was coming up, but IMO songs like RIFOY, IS and WTWOLYR could have brought ANDHC much further

Dear anyone who works closely to Celine or the new manager:.

 

Obviously when Celine returns, we are wanting another album due to the circumstances of what happened. Obviously the Asia tour is only postponed NOT canceled. So here is what as a fan i suggest. To get Dion's name back into recognition amoung households, do a collaboation album along with the Mini asia tour. Get artists from China, Japan, Phillpines, KOREAN ARTISTS ESPECIALLY,

 

Get her name out there, have them open her tours, get duets doing, up tempo songs, start working on recognition around the world, screw the US, if your going to worry about the US, COLLABORATION, COLLABORATION COLLABORATION: Rihanna, Christina Aguilersa, Mariah Carey, Adele, Leona Lewis, Eminem, One Direction, Get on it and get out there and DO IT!

Sure they do! It's late so the only one I can think of right now is Gavin DeGraw's "Chariot." After he gained popularity with his song "I Don't Want to Be" as it was the theme for a popular television show, he went into the studio and recorded thr entire album as an acoustic set and they reissued the album as a double cd.

This is just my opinion, but what threw some people off was the drastic departure from say "Because You Loved Me". I think people weren't expecting that and BOOM! It just happened. I think it's great as an album, but some people weren't expecting it.

Exactly! She likes the songs, obviously she had to, she recorded them. I think she did a great job picking songs for this album!

I'd love a reissue of the album. But only if it included a few new songs and/or a making of dvd. Or even a mini concert dvd (bercy tracks that aren't on USF release). Not the usual Celine reissue - same album just different packaging.

Definitely time for a new single from the album to be released and promoted in 2015.

Can't see us getting a whole new album before 2016.

I'd love to have this album again with extra material included, maybe new pictures like you mentioned 'delles'

I'm sure they have lots of unreleased pictures from that footoshoot lol

If this ever happens It could be a perfect timing for a single and some promotion...

Even if the promotion is not that big.. At least some interviews..

I don't think it's necessarily a question of letting her explore so much as that people like the kind of music that they like. Many of her fans -- people who like big ballads -- may simply not like the other types of music Celine has experimented with, such as rock music or EDM-sounding stuff. It doesn't mean they don't support Celine exploring or trying new things -- just that they don't want to spend their money on music they don't enjoy listening to.

 

I say this as someone who completely adores Celine, who owns every album, French and English, that Celine has recorded since 1990 . . except Taking Chances. Because I just don't like rock music (I know there are other types of songs on there, and some are ok, but not enough that I really want to spend the $$ to buy the album.). I LOVE the album LMBTL . .but not really the song LMBTL. And if all I'd heard was the promo that focused on the song LMBTL, and I thought the whole album was like that, I probably wouldn't have bought it either. Doesn't mean I love Celine any less.

LOL, I'm not a normal fan. I've actually considered buying it just for the liner notes. Cause I love all Celine's liner notes and I don't have that one, and I tried to look at the insert in the copy of TC that my library has, but the library copy didn't have the insert! But I haven't broken down and gotten it yet. (Second unpopular opinion: I also really hate the TC cover. Definitely my least favorite of all her covers. That's part of why I don't want to buy it).

 

And I realized after I wrote this yesterday that what I wrote wasn't quite true. . . I don't have Miracle either. So maybe it's not so strange.

Well it was the big hair era(one of them lol). Lol. Remember the AND pictures- there was the big hair picture of RDMH on TC- I really liked the album booklet pictures.

Ha, yeah. At the time I thought "ok....." and didn't get it. But, I was in the shop in Vegas a couple months ago and finally caved in and bought it. It's actually not a bad album at all! I did not get the book, however, because I still do not get the appeal of placing a baby in a flower or why I should have an entire book of that...
