I found out today something about the piano in Incredible. We all think they did it on purpose. But it was not the plan.

I tell you why: I work with the same kind of software; when you put a channel with a certain instrument too loud, so above the overall soundlevel,

you get a distorted sound. Listen to the live version in le banqier - gone is the distortion. Of course, they should have not put the level so high for the piano

but they did, so you get the distorted sound. I don't see any other reason for having that piano distorted. Distortion is always a result of a too high volumelevel for a certain track, in this case the piano.

But unfortunately in the final mix it wasn't , that is why the song sounds overblown/distorted when it starts and that you think you have blown up your headphone or speakers..

 

The piano does still sound distorted here...it's just less apparent because of the setting, the way it was recorded..and the crowd screaming in the background.

It's good they use this for "promo" but in my opinion it is soooo laazy to do this... this are good extras for Vevo channel.. but-... where the hell is the music video???? At this moment I'm not asking for a completely new recorded video.... but if you are oing to use a TV performance or a life performance that has been use already on TV (like the live in quebec or this one) just try to be a little bit more creative with the post-production.... even if you try to do something original with the background images of the lyrics video... I don't know... something that give us some kind of artistry interest.... not just to take what is was given before and try to give it as new.... Always one step behind.... The official celine giving us a video late and that all we have watched already... god.. this industry snails....

I don't know if anyone has compared the TV promotion for Taking Chances with that of Loved Me Back To Life, but there are so many great differences:

 

Firstly, before the album had even been released in the US, Celine had already performed 3 of the songs from LMBTL live on TV (LMBTL, SLS & WAAF). In addition, we've had a lipped performance of Incredible on Le Banquier. During the Taking Chances period, she only sang TC, and sometimes Alone. There was never any variation. The only times we had other songs from this album performed during the promo period was 2 lipped performances of EOM (CBS Special & An Audience With), and TJTWIM (CBS Special). So already we've had more live performances of different songs from LMBTL, songs that might not actually become singles. The fact that Incredible is to be the second single makes her recent performances of SLS and WAAF even more significant.

 

In addition, every single piece of TV promo Celine has done for this album so far has focused on her new material. During the Taking Chances period, we had BYLM performed on Ellen and The Today Show, we had MHWGO performed on Dancing With The Stars. We had IDAN performed on the Today Show. And we had all 3 + plus ANDHC on Oprah. All these old songs took the focus away from the new material. But this time, they have ditched all the old songs and are finally concentrating on performing new songs, which is great to see.

Yes, that's makes me happy. I never thought she would sing any other song anytime soon beside LMBTL and then we have SLS, WAAF and Incredible being peeformed. That's why i don't want to give too much complain even when so far it's not as great as we hoped for in terms of chart i'm still happy and feeling good with this album. At least i got the album that i like not only because it's Celine CD but because it's one of best album in 2013.

I'm so glad they uploaded that performance! It's by far the second best live performance of that song, with a rave and intimate crowd, and she was confident and on fire! Celine deserved the world to see that!!

 

I'm in love with that performance even if the key is lower, she put so much passion to it!
