I guess translated interviews are often awkward, but this one seemed particularly so, She was so adorable, saying "hi" with "ai ai ais," and the host was just staring at her, completely clueless. :mellow: But I love how Celine always seems natural and fun, even in awkward situations.

Just watched the performance of LMBTL and I loved the staging and Celine looked great. Sadly I thought the lipping was very obvious particularly the big note and just after it, Celine chose to sing along with the background operatics instead of the main lyrics. Was painful to watch for me, but I guess that's cos I know it was lipped. Hopefully for the German public watching it wasn't that obvious.

No let's pretend it wasn't.... :bag: :whistling:

 

I saw it that way: The best stage scenario with the most dull performance of this song to date.

Even when she had to sang LMBTL live she gave more life into performance and her face expesions were more tasteful...sadly

Oh and Somebody should whisper Celine what is the meaning of "gute nacht" and what means "guten abend" :rolleyes:

And she really is in love with "wunderbar"..... :innocent:

One thing is for sure.

She had some long exposure durin the show. At first I thought why she is among the first guests, wasn't she supposed to be on the end like the best is the last.

But I was wrong, in fact it was good she was earlier and stayed for quite long. Plus I said to myself I'm gonna count how many times we heard the name Celine Dion

or just Celine during that show. I bet it was more than 10x. Which is one of the few good sides of this show. :shiftywave:

Lol saw this on tumblr! Even though a word is misspelled, it really says a lot about how I felt during this show :laugh:

I hope not lol! It kind of seemed like a joke. I know there have to be better shows than that in Germany.

Wetten Dass: the performance of a QUEEN (until XFactor arrives) :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: You can moan and rant everything you want about she doing playback, but no live performance with a band can beat the original album backing track ^_^ I just loved this show, if they don't release a proper videoclip of the song, this performance will be the closest one to one for me :wub:

About being kind of lost... language barrier anyone????? Have you ever heard of that? She's not german, of course she knows she's going to feel kind of lost in these shows where they don't speak english/french! ;)

I agree, but the show itself was kinda ridiculous. It was not only visible on Celine's face but even Lukas Podolski looked as if he wanted to be anywhere other than there. On top of that, the host is just bad. I was talking a few of my German friends and they said how terrible he is. I just wished she did something more in Germany instead of just this. :(

I understand. It's a shame she goes to a TV show and she just has to stand like a mannequin "lost in translation" :mellow:

It makes me laugh.

 

So many people moaning about her lipping. Then moaning that she didn't perform on Jonathan Ross when she could have lipped.

Poor cow can't win.

I think that she enjoyed the show because she looked like she had fun, BUT she has to get used to Markus Lanz... She knows Thomas Gottschalks for quite a long time and he is very different. Thomas Gottschalk and Céline Dion were behaving like 'friends' while Markus Lanz is a stranger. She was kind of uneasy because she didn't know how to behave and what to expect.

Two things: 1: Check out the "hug and cup" at around 5:41 (oops I'm tall and didn't realize...) and B: "could I please have my hand back?" :unsure:

There just wasn't any chemistry on this show. It was awkward. I wasn't there (of course), but even I wanted it to be over for Celine. I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that she was grateful when she left.

The interview was totally a waste of time!!! I mean they (producers / host) had one of the most important /successful singers in the world as guest and what did they do? Absolutely NOTHING!

 

-In the game of songs (if I'm not wrong) she only pushed buttons...the kids got all the attention

 

-She didn't even talk about LMBTL (she didn't even talk about anything!) :wacko:

 

-The host "interviewed" the other two guests instead Céline

 

-She was most of the time watching the host like "WTF is he saying :wtf: "

 

 

About the performance: great stage (If only they would have done something like this when she performed at the X Factor....), great special effects ----> but playback

 

About the dress: we all know she have an amazing legs and Annie Horth by her side... but come on! she wore that dress 12 days ago...We're talking about "Céline Dion" so why not to buy any other clothes in the last minute?

Why are alot of things lipped on Eurpean TV shows?

Can't speak as to the European shows but the same thing can be and is said about a lot of US tv shows
