I liked it very much! Celine did a great job in catching up with the moderator. The stage was beautiful with great effects. She always sang playback on this show ..... so ... whatever ...

 

Totally agree with you. I wish she could do more German promotion, but that is not going to happen due to the famous Wetten Dass contract :-(

Just watched the performance of LMBTL and I loved the staging and Celine looked great. Sadly I thought the lipping was very obvious particularly the big note and just after it, Celine chose to sing along with the background operatics instead of the main lyrics. Was painful to watch for me, but I guess that's cos I know it was lipped. Hopefully for the German public watching it wasn't that obvious.

What's the Wetten das contract?

 

Wetten Dass tries to limit international singers appearances in Germany to their show. So if someone performs on the show. They are not allowed to perform at other high profile Shows in the country.

Maybe they are Not so strict anymore, cuz miley will be at the bambi Awards. But it is still strange that they have planend nothing else than wetten dsss for her in german speaking europe.

MistaChanel, I was laughing earlier tonight that I looked to the right of the forum and saw a new topic you opened and read "Genital" instead of "Genials" :lmao:

Could they not have at least used the playback they used for the Banker special... at least that didn't have a bunch of voices simultaneously and she has to make the embarrassing decision of which to go along with... personally, the fact she had a band on stage and the setting was beautiful, no reason why she should have lipped.

Of course Celine wins and I love the dress on Celine! It's go the sleeve she loves too :)

she's also repeating a lot of shoes lately. I'm loving that too! It's nice the idea of her getting to love her dress or a pair of shoes that she travels with them! They're one in thousands! :P

She has repeated a couple of things. I think it comes down to traveling! And the things she has repeated are gorgeous...her whole wardrobe is gorgeous. What I would give to go through her wardrobe! I would be in awe for sure!

I bet I could fit in some things....except none of her pants or shoes (5' 2", size 5 shoe :P )

He went to showmaster oblivion ;-), no honestly a few years ago a tragic accident happened on the show and as a consequence he stepped down as moderator of the show.

 

The quality of the show decreased so much. It's a shame if the moderator can not pronounce the name of an international superstar in the right way. His first questions sucked and although he demonstrated that he feels really quite honoured that she's in the show he failed to build up a chemistry. I have also never realised before how "staged" everything was she did. Every move, action and every joke seemed to be learned by heart and gone through with her management. How horrible...

 

I also loved the stage, I hate that she lipped but what was even worse was the sound quality in general. I don't know what caused it, you could also hear that while Miley was singing. It's actually also quite tragic if a young stupid wannabe singer that puts herself naked on wrecking balls sings live and the voice itself doesn't do it.

I didn't watch the video yet I just saw two clips and Celine singing LMBTL. I don't like the lipped performance but you gotta give her the benefit of the doubt with voice preservation. She can't sing live everywhere. She looked amazing! Yea she repeated the dress but so what. She was outstanding. Thanks for sharing! :)

Best stage ever!! I love how she "comes back to life" with the fireworks and the yellow lights. Same with Quebec and the x Factor. It seems yellow represents life, and blue represents the coma.

 

But the golden ring, smoke and fireworks did the trick for me. And Celine just standing and opening her mouth while a powerful belted "liiiiife" comes out of it just gives me chills, even knowing she's not singing for real. It's a powerful and beautiful image. I don't know why but I thought of "The Hunger Games"
