Utter, over-the-top melodrama that is supposed to be over-the-top melodramatic, and so it works perfectly! And Celine makes it infused with such passion and emotion -- and with a voice that is absolute crystal-clear beauty . . .not to mention the most amazing viedo in that castle, with that dress . . . I adore every single second of the 7-plus minutes, from that first dramatic chord to the last whispered "and if we . . . " and every "baby, baby" in between. However, one of these songs is not only my favorite Celine song, but my favorite song of all time. It's actually the song that introduced me to her. Now I have almost 40 of her albums. Call the Man is original and I love the beat, etc. It's such a beautiful song and, as someone mentioned earlier, not quite so bombastic. She does display some power in her voice as well. However, IACBTMN, even in the shorter version she performs is so much more Celine for some reason. This song, even if it's a cover, just has so much power to it and is pretty iconic. Even people who aren't huge fans know this song and relate to this song. It's one of the few song's (outside of MHWGO) that so many people associate her with. (This is not why I'm voting for it, though) She sings it with such passion, both on the album version and live. It's one of the few she always seem to really just infuse herself into. I love the back and forth power to soft to power melo-drama of the song, even if the album version is 7 minutes. I love the breathy ending...."and if we....." It really just speaks to the power of human emotions and relationships and she translates with her voice quite beautifully. Even though I wasn't that active when the game started and I started playing it at later stages, I loved it. And lots of my favorites were eliminated a few weeks back, but I didn't even think of quitting the game. It's all about the fun, and two great songs remained. It is huge, Celine herself has said that she's never recorded a bigger song. It wasn't initially meant for her but it's still so Celine!On the other hand, 'Call The Man', another great favourite of mine... For me, it has always been the 'different' Celine ballad, I guess it has something to do with the lyrics. I've always felt something very special about it, some slightly slower and 'darker' mood (I don't actually know how to describe it), it's not that bombastic but it is just so beautiful!So... I know I have to choose only 1 song to save and it is...IACBTMN (although, to be honest, I'm doing it with kind of mixed feelings...).Now I've voted, I'm looking forward to stage 3 of this game.
