I think maybe this album was a stress for Rene because of the delays , the changes etc.

He seemed so flustered by the why its called water and a flame to the point that I think maybe they might have been thinking of changing it and wasn't expecting katie to ask about it?

I think the title could still change , it's not too late yet!

Just watched the interview for the second time and low and behold there are 3 bottles of water in front of Rene!!! Man does that guy like his H2O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is funny how he always has a water bottle, but I think I read that it's because ever since his throat cancer, he naturally produces very little saliva, so he really needs the water.

I think they were both just caught off guard by that question, and I thought their answers were funny and refreshing, because they usually have such rehearsed answers to those sorts of questions. I agree that the title might change -- a few months ago, they were saying water for the old songs, flame for the new songs -- obviously they can't say that anymore, and I don't think they've finalized the title.

 

I thought Celine's response was even funnier than Rene's -- It's the title of the album, because it's the title of the song, of course. LOL

Yes I saw that also......I guess that is part of the interview that got cut out I would love to see it all. I guess we will never know! I tweeted Katie about the edited footage but I don't think I'll get a reply back........

 

They also talked about the photo shoot because Katie held up a pic. from the shoot. (I posted a picture of it here )

I had to watch this again. This is probably my all time celine interview. The way she answered the questions, her candor, her elegance, her humor, the way she says she’s not afraid to lose her voice, and just how much has changed in 12 years. If you missed it back then or if you just need to see a good interview with her and Rene, I’d recommend watching it again 😊
